I have a question for using Ninja Ripper (D3D9 and D3D11 Wrapper) on PCSX2 0.9.8:

I'm trying to rip models from Magna Carta: Tears of Blood, and I got the .obj meshes out just fine ( [Shift] + [F8] ), but when I click [F9] to get the .dds textures, all it gives me in the _Ripper folder are just the useless on-screen captures. :bleh:

I have the model with no textures. It has a proper UV Map though. :P

Is this maybe just a game-specific problem? Is there something about Magna Carta T.o.B that it refuses to give me the model's textures? I've been able to easily get .dds textures from other PS2 games with the [F9] button just fine.

And TexMod only gives me 6 textures, while in other games it gives me 100+. :?

So, I was just wondering. :)

A suggestion for Ninja Ripper coders.
The model captured by this tool currently is not what we saw on screen. It's the raw data from the model file.
Recent MMO games have amazing character customization. Some people may want to capture the model that you created by your own customization.
Hope you can add a function that can capture the screen model we see like Game Assassin and other old capture tool did.

Its been stated a good 10 times in this thread, even on the front page.

Its now abandonware, free for anyone else to pickup if they so wanted.

My favorite ripper seems to be not working on Yebis3 engine games (Ride and MotoGP15 by Milestone in my case). It worked well on MotoGP14 which was running Yebis2.

When attempting to run the 32bit version, I got the "Function already hooked and have ANOTHER handler" message, and the rip button does nothing on 64 bits version for both mesh and textures :(

While looking at the available code on Github, this error is coming from the Hook Manager, but I'm not good enough at coding (and doesn't have the "afxres.h" file due to my Visual Studio version) to resolve it by myself.

I'm fear nobody can help since I can see this in the code

Code: Select all

//Need additional research
which probably means even the great BlackNinja is thinking it will ask more work on code.

If anybody has an idea, I'll take it. I'm a bit hopeless :P

Try VisualStudio 2010 for compiling ripper. Or correctly upgrade project for another IDE.

Ripper not will work on 64bit games. Ripper need porting to 64bit. Sources are available.

Hi, I imported models to 3dsmax, everything is good except for textures are missing. I tried resident evil 5 and cod8, both no texture. How can I fix it?
