DOA5 - Tool v2.1 * UPDATE - 22/10/2012 *
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

the v2.1 give you:
- Fixed version of Stage Rip

This tool will extract/decrypt files of DOA5 and rename them automatically or manually
You just need to put the folder ( doa5_tool ) in the DOA5 folder OR the dlc "root" folder (where .bin and .lnk are) OR to just "browse" your folder for updating unknown names

Link to the tool -->

Link to the ultimate folder tool of DOA/NG -->

PS: This tool contains work from chroxx & others Xentax user too.
Take the red one

ps: sorry if I take some time to work on the 2.2 version, I'm busy with my job now.

OK I understand why I didn't come across this bug, it's because when I'm logged into mediafire, this error does not show.

So I think this one will work.

Apologies if I'm sounding like an idiot, but how would I go about getting the files out of my copy of DOA5 (Collector's Edition for 360, if you must know)? What about stuff like DLC costumes, would I need to figure out how to get them from my 360 to my computer?

I'm getting things setup to try that right now. Just picked up a new USB drive large enough to hold it.

Can someone catch me up on if the system needs to be modded now to run modded games? If a game can be extracted, can it not be then modified on the remote source (ie usb) and then still played from there with modded changes, or does updating the ISO / extracted data require some kind of signing process?

Edit: Okay, I've successfully extracted the game, created an ISO, etc. What DOA5 'root' should I be putting the tool in? Do I need an ISO explorer or something?

Still requires JTAG/RGH to play a modded game. Unless you put it back into ISO form and burn it to a disc. Then it only requires the 360's drive to be flashed. (but no matter what it requires a non stock 360.)

I wrote this in maxscript, to help manage and rename my files.
The form was designed to do lookup and allow custom name entry.

It uses two text files, one with the encrypted names, and the other with your custom names
The encrypted names are in order with the list extracted from the XEX, which help with name predictions

You'll notice the reserve space would indicated the DLC was planned way in advanced.

Anyways here it is, you'll of course need 3dsmax installed to work it :P

Lol thanks. It feels weird being like an idiot matching files for one and half hour now that you made this script.
