Hash is calculated for filename string, not for file contents. Files with the same content but different names will have different hashes. And files with different content but with same name (from updates, DLCs) will have same hash. So you must unpack updates in chronological order and overwrite files with same names with newer ones.
Why file "euro/bnk/frontend/allres/mapscreens/spots/ecd_ital_3210.bnk" in previous builds had proper hash (54596F35E55626A3) but the new "ecd_ital_3210.bnk" which is identical in every bit has different, invalid hash (54596F35E55121A7)?
Just because it has different name.

Anyway, the main priority is to find a way to get names of IG2 files (without modified exe it would be hard). In those IG2 are new tracks, that's why game crashes while entering race. Everything else seems to work as before. All i know is that IG2 should be in this directory: euro/bnk/ig2/

Some ige files contain own name in description params.

I know, but not those from DLC2. The only things I managed to get with a little help of CE are the names of races but this knowledge is useless. For example name of track 21B950BA2039CE92.ig2 is "2 wheels" (Ibiza).
Tomsolo, you are the master of this file format. Help us

That's because the filename is wrong. Yes, I know that if you extract
54596F35E55121A7.bin you get a folder called ecd_ital_3210, but the actual bnk name is
ecd_ital_3564.bnk.
It's the same thing with that t4tbdyaa.bnk. Eden works in mysterious ways
I had some free time today and I decided to check the new DLC contents. I was able to figure out the names and paths of 364 new files, but sadly I still have a bunch of unknown bnk, ig2, xml and xmbf files (44 files in total). And guessing their names is pretty much impossible. I did't see you guys were already working on it, guess I'm too late...

Am i right in thinking the file list creation is still in progress? In other words still not fully extractable. I saw a few people have logged a lot of new files but from my understanding there are still some files not done yet?

Even before DLC2 filelist wasn't fully completed, but game was 100% playable. From the practical point of view, we just need to find names of ig2 files but it's very hard without modified exe- like reading in complete darkness

. Other files that we do not have are not so important. For example my suspicion is that all remaining bnk's are not used by the game.

All ig2 filenames included the db_data database, just search filenames without extension and compare the existing files ig2 files. What remains, well, they are the missing files - online bike challenges.

If you remember the ig filenames a have a simple logic: eg. evha3ce1 = event hawai sector 3 ... or something similar.
Just a tipp, how to try identify, (difficult but maybe not impossible):
1. Start game without extraction.
2. Select an online challenge -> test run
3. Find memory this IGE2 file. Select a CP point block.
4. Search this array in remain ig2 files (with most hexeditor can be searched this.) You gut one hit.
5. Now we know what challenge what hashedname.ig2 file.
6. Choose one in the remain file names and try with extracted game. If no freeze == profit.

Very good tip. I was trying to do similar thing. I know which race has what hash... but the idea with eliminating known filenames - that might work

For me and my friends it is 146 files left. But maybe we have another version of the game. Ahh I understand 21 unknown from DLC2. But there are 3 files which were unknown before, unused IG2 files and unused BNK. Maybe one of those bnk is used somewhere.

guys, can anyone help extract files from .bnk files game Alone In The Dark? I tryed script but it's don't help.
And I need all structure files, all directories when they put in. I hope somebody help me with this.

I haven't played the game this year, and now I tried to play it, and it won't start.
I'm using "TDU2 Light Launcher.exe", and I see the black screen with a white loading icon (bottom right) for a few seconds and then it just closes and I'm back in Windows. No error messages anywhere. I even re-installed TDU2 and unpacked .big files again, but nothing changed, it still closes after 2 seconds.
Any ideas?
