Very cool (and the "Crechs!" game sounds a lot like "Creatures"); you should add a link to this page from the "Pages" section of the sidebar.

You're right, of course, and so is Creatures. I tend to treat simulations as games (and there's plenty of crossover between the two, depending where you look), hence my use of incorrect terminology.
