Well to attempt at getting back on-topic, ChrisSquareFan have you made any progress with Birth By Sleep models at all as you seem to be the only one who may be interested in the release of a public converter? It has been a week since you last posted here and even just something on any attempts at the KH1 models would be good to me, just any sort of update would be nice.

Yeah, the KH1 model formats should have their own topic. Meanwhile, I've got messed up faces on my models and I can't get any from the English version because there hasn't been an update for the converter in months! I mean seriously, I mean I know Falo has a life, and he's done so much for us, but hasn't he got something new? I just don't understand. Unless I being rude for saying this; I mean no offense and don't expect this to come off as such. But unless there's a new program for extracting Buzz and Woody from KH2, I don't think anyone gives a darn about it on this topic.
BBSFM and KH2FM+ saves are compatible with KH2.5. viewtopic.php?t=13424

For what it's worth Falo did release a new dumper for KH 1 and 2 to dump more models and if you know how to use it properly you can indeed get to Buzz and Woody I have them on my hard drive and such. Though I would like to point out they have no textures and there is no UV maps on them either for any non-existent texture.
But the reason he didn't mention it here is probably because it's not about Birth By Sleep. Though he did show new screen shots of more successfully converted models he didn't release anything and I'm not sure he intends to ever release anything further. Though admittedly if he doesn't intend to release anything some sort of notification that he doesn't intend to would be courteous.

you should not post mean things in a topic because your are tired of waiting if you want it so bad reverse the format yourself.
I could help with he format if the program was open source but it is not and i am not going to re invent the wheel here so just wait till he is ready then he will share his work.

Quite frankly, unless you are able to take the information in this thread, which already outlines the entire PMO format for the most part (enough to produce the images i posted), you can't really make requests of what someone else does with their spare time.
Admittedly, i usually have no use for model converters, so it has always been low on my priority list, but i do plan on looking into a number of the other formats i am interested in, and if i get around to figuring out and posting the information before those that are actually working on conversion, more power to them to integrate it into their work if/when they get the chance.
i haven't added skeletal animation support to my code yet, and have a number of other areas to cleanup and otherwise fix before things are at a point i am comfortable with. That, combined with the fact i work on a number of different formats besides these, mean i am usually jumping back and forth between format investigation and RL duties.
The more format investigation and information provided the better. Means less work for me if others also provide their knowledge on what they have already figured out. A good number of formats i have queued up are ones where there are tools for viewing/conversion, but no actual information on the underlying formats, which are far more useful to me.
Outside of that, i'll be looking to see what i can make of the stage data when i can, and i plan on continuing with both KH1 and KH2 in the future (look up my first post in the forums and you may get a hint on some of the other formats i plan on completing at some point, if i haven't already, heh).

The reason i didn't released a new version is, it's not finished, but you shouldn't wait for a new release from me,
i say it again, i don't have any 3D knowledge, i just know how to analyse files/convert values etc.
i started to work on this converter just for fun, my goal was to view the models, which is possible now.

Regarding the normals issue, are those the normals from the model data, or regenerated? Afaik, the game doesn't need normals to display the models, because there is no real lighting in KH games (except in the case of tron model of KH2 that do use normals I think).
So, in case they come from the model data, there is no real guarantee that they are correct to begin with.

Ah, well, i can confirm that so far, none of the 858 pmo files i have extracted have contained normals.
