I tried as well (I would also like to see whats in those as I play the game too) but that's the error message I recieve... what gives...The Extension pk2 is not allowed

You have tried zipping the file too make an .Zip extension? =/
or maybe its possible to just give a fake extension? =)

what about

It can parse thru .pk2 files and rip out the goodies.
*mainly DDS textures*
maybe it will not find everything in those archives,
but atleast will give you a hint of whats in them.

jaedernaub? I think i might have tried that but I'm not sure. I have tried Dragon Unpacker and when it extracts the files it igves me files with a .669 extension. I'm gonna keep trying

.669 looks a mod file, like s3m or xm

In the last days I developed the new FREE internal export module called 'Tools/Export the material table's textures to .bmp files'. that supports the Silkroad .ddj format.

I released the 3D O. C. V4.429 update package now.
You can update your installed application (version>=4.0) quickly and easily using the auto-update function (Help/Check for updates…).
