Re: Telltale and Gametap - extract to translate
Okay, guys. I know that 'a font file job' should be done in HEX editor. I did such a thing in past. That's not a problem. But maybe some details? Someone wrote:

NOTE: I'm from China. I've written a tool for unpacking/packing a text. I can share it with person who can help me with the font/textures files for Tales from the Borderlands and Game of Thrones.
But I dunno what positions were in Tales from the Borderlands and The Walking Dead 2As TFTB/TWDS2 .font, but header of FONT increased by 4 bytes. Header of DDS increased by (4*4+1*4) bytes, and additional 1 byte after headers of dds.

As TWAU/TWDS2 .font
I will release a program the other day.

Re: Telltale and Gametap - extract to translate
Here is the tool I coded for both Game of Thrones and Tales of Borderlands landb files. Requires .NET 4 Redist.
Put 3 files into folder with .landb files.
Then run 'extractAll.cmd' and it will extract all landb files in current folder to txt files.
Do not delete empty lines or add a new line in text files. Also do not delete | char, since it is used as line separator.
After editing text files, run 'repackAll.cmd' to create new .landb2 files with your texts.
I will not do dds injector. You may do it.

EDIT: I added tool to extract fonts from dds files. Requires 010Editor v5. Just put into the folder with .font files, and run extractAll.cmd to extract all font files.Usage wrote:To extract:Extracts <landb_file>.txtCode: Select all
landb5.exe <landb_file>
Structure of text file:
<speaker>
<line of speaker>
<speaker>
<line of speaker>

Some speaker lines are empty. Do not delete those lines.
To repack:Repack requires both <landb_file> and <landb_file>.txt and create <landb_file>2 fileCode: Select all
landb5.exe <landb_file> gom

That is amazing, thank you so much for that.
Would you also happen to have a quick advice on how to reimport the edited .dds fonts back into a .font file, please?

You may use a hex-editor. Just copy DDS file without header, replace with the previous one. Sizes should be same.Tomas2886Cz wrote:rengareng wrote:Here is the tool I coded for both Game of Thrones and Tales of Borderlands landb files...

DDS data in the end of the file. Some files may have more than 1 DDS data.

My modification of TTG Tools by Den Em:
I do not have time to describe all the features of the program and how to use it, so the summary:
Features:
Work with Hector/Puzzle Agent/TWD (Not test)/TWDS2/TWAU and newer games
Work: Land/Font/Textures Import/Export
Landb: Export to TTG Tools original format (Landb), "NAME_OF_SPEAKER: TEXT" format (Notabenoid), and like .SRT format (Line number, Author, Text, Empty line). Import from TTG Original (In GUI with select "Landb"), .SRT (In GUI and console)
To import landb in .SRT format into .LANDB from *.txt files you can use TTG Tools from console: ""TTG Tools.exe" -import landb input output", input/output - you folders.
To import/export textures, select you game in the list of games in Auto Depacker.
Font Editor: It's using Unicode to represent characters. And is designed for Cyrillic characters.
Landb export and import worked only with UTF-8 txt exported files.
Transfer unicode to CP* change local encoding character in UTF8 format to ansi (< 256 places)(need to select your https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_code_pages) for games with UTF8 support (Borderlands+).
If you have any questions, ask them here, or contact me.
