found a bug :D
so trying to export a gmo to smd merge the groups in one global group
i tried in obj and it worked fine but no bones (obj sucks lol)
also gmo materials names seems in fact to be the texture name without the extension (ie: generally tm2 files)

seems gmo based games use ttd packages to store the tim2 textures
could it be possible to auto load/extract ttd files when loading a gmo ?
basically you got filenames like this :
0000.gmo (model+ skeleton)
0000.ttd (texture package) to extract
0000.mot (animations)

also if you can add support for the mot file it could be nice ^^

thanks for this great app

here is the sample files :

I was curious by chance if you could add support to view Xenosaga Ep. III (and the other 2 episodes) models and extract them. I believe Ep. III and II use a .CHR format if correct. I hear Ep. I uses something different, not sure. My question is, can you add support for these games? Nice work though with everything you've done.

I have figured out how to extract FFXIII models, but a feature that is missing when you export is the feature to write to a folder that doesn't exist yet - I mean, can we please be able to type to export to, for example, C:\Models\Final Fantasy\Vanille, when that folder doesn't exist, and then the program makes the folder for us? It would speed it up so I don't have to create each folde manually :P

I've taken a look and removed what I could find. All other pages in his directory are clean.

Oh, thanks for that. I just re-uploaded the whole site from my clean local copy. Sorry I couldn't get to it sooner, as I was away on a bit of a vacation. :)

I try to import the model from noesis 1.7 in format SMD but I have problems to see
the model since the bones are too big such you see it is a problem on scale maybe?

The model works fine but the bones are huge O_o

how I can solve this problem from noesis? For reference, I'm using 3ds Max 2010
and plugin Wunderboy's SMD Importer.

garnetfanatico,
-scale 100 command will give you the proper scale.

I still keep getting the page blocked due to it being a malicious site. Also, is there any chance to support .CHR files in the future? This would help in ripping Xenosaga models very greatly.

That site is clean, it just needs to be registered under Google's webmaster tools to force a re-check of it. I don't know how long that takes, and I haven't yet been bothered to go through with the process. But you can still view it in the mean time with nothing to fear. Although I've noticed Firefox does not load it quite properly due to whatever "precautions" it's taking.

Also, just to note, people have been PM'ing me left and right and asking me to look at this and that, and I can't even promise to give things a look anymore because the todo list for this project has grown too much. So, sorry, but I'll probably have to keep ignoring requests until I can get time to work on Noesis again. I'm busy again trying to get job/money stuff sorted out at the moment. Please do keep reporting crashes/bugs, though. I'm always interested in those. Also, Wunderboy's SMD importer has a variety of issues, and people keep contacting me and blaming Noesis for said bugs. Please stop that! :) If you're having a bug with something exported from Noesis and then imported into something else, first see if Noesis imports it properly. If Noesis does import it properly, chances are the problem isn't with Noesis.

Alright, thanks for replying and I apologize if I offended you. I just suggested a possible .CHR viewer as I know obtaining Xenosaga models can be quite a pain and that this would make it a bit easier on alot of people. Again, thank you for responding and for your updates.

This tool is pure awesome, thank you very much for all your work on it. I'm not too bothered about getting hellgate london models smoothly anymore since Noesis imports and exports the RE5 models so beautifully, no messed up faces and no lods *cheer*. Thanks again!
