This is indeed great way to learn about DXT format. It would be interesting, after you are fully done, to see side by side what was exactly done to disguise the format in this particulary case. Good work.

After removing their own 12 byte headers (which are scattered around in the file) on each mipmap, it can be read normally. (with DDS header ofcourse)
almost normally....

It would be nice to get mex com to do it all. Auto-Convert and all.

You are really making good progress here, and I was right when I told Kamshaft the following in an email prior my request above:
As for the other files, I have taken a look at them, but have not yet figured out exactly what they represent. Sure, there are graphics in there, and quite possibly DDS files (there's a photoshop plugin on the web for DDS files if you don't have it already) that have been header-stripped, but that's just a wild guess..
Good to know the wild guess wasn't so wild after all.

After this hopefully, some people will help us figure out the model files (DXG).

The only lead I got is this
http://discussion.autodesk.com/thread.j ... dID=333785. That would be some obscured and forgoten ACAD application, but rather it is not.
By sublimal

association I would suspect that it could be more of some DXF format without the header, or also maniacally disguised X file.
EDIT: DXF is definetely not
