For example, if 2R963@1S100@CG]]624B544612PQM131810210{F1R5211 is Hitomi's Cos 001's encrypted name, How do I use find what it's offset is or where it's position is in the file index?
doa5filesrefs.ods - libre office document

added the doa5u file list to the party - see the "doa5u" tab. the "real" names are just copied from the doa5 file list.

Thank you for posting this. Could you please double check your link when you have time. I can't seem to download it. Possible server issue?

Re: DOA5U Files

I was attempting to update a DOA5 DLC file into the default.xex & chara_common.lnk for DOA5U because those tmcs are now included. I noticed that the DOA5U .tmc uncompressed size was actually different in the file references by about 6-10 bytes from the original DOA5 one from the DLC container. Is this potentially problematic for decryption or modding purposes? I'm not sure what they could have added unless they have something to identify a new property or DLC flag. That small of change strikes me as unlikely to accommodate any of the visual changes which I'm guessing are party of the engine and not the costume.

Edit: Strike that, Reverse it! New tmcs are actually smaller than original tmcs.

Protocol X27 seems like the server is down. try this one:
doa5filesrefs.ods (hosting my-files.ru)

yes the actual size is bigger than original doa5, and the compression ratio is also better than for the original doa5 compressed files. can't find where they inflate in doa5, using ida. found some zlib errors like "zlib wrong size" or something but this is image png format related. i think they could use some proprietary shit instead of deflate compression.

Thanks, that one worked.

I'm having trouble getting DOA5 modded files to work in DOA5U, but I've only tried replacing 'former' DLC files with their 'on disc' counterparts, so far. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong by using the original uncompressed file size (instead of the new one), or if there is some relationship between reading the DOA5 DLC package that has to line up with the 'on disc' data. :-/

they still use zlib for compressing. I have test the dump files of TMCL about momoji and rachel, they are same size, but the different about TMC.

Lilstormcloud wrote:did you still want that hitomi model? I was thinking of ram dumping that cos for you but problem is it take hours and my Gf insists on equal sharing of the TV time :? which kinda means I have to really really time it well otherwise it'll get cut off half way coz she wants to play gears or sumthin -_-"

In addition the dumped cos may not always display properly because of some weird artifacts, so far I've only been restoring returning costumes from doa5, they're easy enough because I have the old files to base them off but new costumes I haven't tried. Will give it a shot today if I get time.
Lol It's not like I want to force someone to do something for me. I just wanted to know if someone has figured out DOA5U compression or encription, and also I know that almost all the DOA5U content is inside DOA5. Right now all the attention is focused on modding GTA5.

Did anyone ever get a RAM dump over to chrrox? I see that a couple people have the tech set up for that. The process looks a bit more involved than I can commit presently.

So far I've only been able to get DOA5 costumes to work as replacements for Unlockable costumes. The on disc DLC stuff is weird. Anyone think the new 'motion' settings might be cause for the change in the container size. If it required any additional bone / animation data they could have put that in the tmc.
