How to extract 3d models from this web page?

Post by Jeeg » Mon May 25, 2020 7:41 pm

First of all I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this question.

In this page:
https://www.model-space.com/build-star- ... nt=yt_ahob

There is a 3d model of the Xwing from Star Wars.
Scroll to the middle of the page and click "3d model animation".
A 3d model will be loaded in the browser.

I'm trying to rip this model since months. Using Ninjaripper or just downloading files from the chace of the browser. But the downloaded file is a mistery to me.

Can someone explain me how to rip the geametric data and the textures please? I don't know anytihng about programming. All I know is what I learn in this site for ripping from Sketcfab or Artstation (and I love it!).

Thank you in advance.

The technology used for this 3d model is from a site called "Show in 3d".
Maybe you know if there is a tutorial for ripping from this kind of software.

The file eith the 3d model can be downloaded and it's name is "compressedmeshes.bin". No idea how to open it.

Your english is ok what you seem to lack is some understanding that the owners of that page are interested in selling their "hardware" models.
Guess they wouldn't like some funny guys printing out the models using a 3D printer. :D

Anyways the model I found in the cache is UnityFS.....5.x. x.2019.3.5f1, webgl, which UABE can decompress but there's no export.
This is all what I will tell. (:

Thank you. I will try to understand what UABE is.

I know they don't want people to rip that model. Even if I don't think that 3d model for the site is the same used for the actual plastic model. It's probably a low quality version of it just for the web page.
