You could always just import the .mesh.ascii files into Blender using this script: https://github.com/johnzero7/XNALaraMesh or reverse-engineer it's code for your own.

For some reason, I was not able to run this script due to some errors. That's why I started to write my own version.

Yes that's normal behavior, its a false positive and you can ignore it, many reversers protect their code with encryptions/obfuscations etc and anti-viruses do not like that, thus the warning.
