PS3 More! Sonicomi mdl
Could anyone take a look at the mdl files in the ps3 game More! Sonicomi?
Textures are plain gtf files and mtl files seem to be material information.
Sample: http://www.mediafire.com/download/wvywp ... hood_a.rar

Re: PS3 More! Sonicomi mdl
One solution is the updated 3D Object Converter:
http://3doc.i3dconverter.com/downloads/ ... rtable.zip
The out_nekohood_a\out_nekohood_a.mdl file have references to the following file (or material name ?):
out_nekohood_a_ncl1_2 (???)

Re: PS3 More! Sonicomi mdl
Another solution is the sonicomi py script from Mariusz Szkaradek which I adapted for PS3 More! Sonicomi.
But it's in an experimental state:

Re: PS3 More! Sonicomi mdl
Thx. It wasn't too hard since Mariusz did >90% of the pre work.mikulover39 wrote:Nice job on the script shakotay2
I would need another 3 mdl samples for testing (the mdl only, plz, to keep the zip small).I hope your able to make it fully functional and good luck.

Re: PS3 More! Sonicomi mdl
Since mikulover39 wrote me that "it works great for mostly everything"
here's the script in a blend file: http://www.uploadmb.com/dw.php?id=1396173697
(though I have a strange feeling that the skinning doesn't work. No time to check this atm.
Maybe the parenting of the bones needs some big endian correction.)
Working with blender versions <= 2.49b only.
In the text window press alt-p to start the script and select an mdf file to load.
The PS3 More! Sonicomi script is based on Mariusz Szkaradek's sonicomi blend file.
I didn't adapt anm support so far.
Doesn't work with stage models.
All errors you might meet with this script are caused by my dump adaption
so don't blame Mariusz for it! Never ever!
(I used a fake PHSX chunk as a stop flag for reaching file's end. So don't be surprised to find
'PHSX' in console output even if there's no such chunk in the mdl file.)

Re: PS3 More! Sonicomi mdl
Actually I found a problem with this model:

Array index out of range.

Re: PS3 More! Sonicomi mdl
The problem is to do with line 363 "for k in range(start, end):"
It seems like the script wont find the end of the 2nd object, changing it to "for k in range(start):" to import it correctly so try that for now.

Okas, thanks It worked, and for extracting textures, what are you using?? texture finder?? Because I used it and it helped to te determine what kind of texture It is and just put a dtx header.mikulover39 wrote:The problem is to do with line 363 "for k in range(start, end):"
