The folder "FFFFFD61" contains a file called "locals.bin" and it seems to have the whole English script.

Will try repacking the Spanish "locals.bin" with "bigfile_English.000" to see if it works.

How reliable is packing please ? Is it ok or is there any catch ?

Thank you
I think it's working decently now but it's largely untested.

Unpack / pack has nothing to do with actual game data. :)

I am working on code to parse (and hopefully recreate) the .drm files.

Look at the bigfile.xml -- it will explain what the folder names mean,

such as:

Code: Select all

<!-- FFFFFD61 = English, UnusedLanguages, UnusedFlags -->

Don't ask me about localization tools; if you don't have the resources to develop them yourself you don't need them.

Keeping my fingers crossed, and waiting for results.
Hope it works, and you'll be able to make step-by-step instructions.

These are mislabeled, they should be .usm.

They're CRIWARE video data. There's a tool here (search 'utf_tab suite') called usm_deinterleave but I don't know how well it works for DX3 videos.

Gibbed.DeusEx3.Pack.exe bigfile_English_unpack bigfile_English.000

Be careful not to overwrite your original.

Edit: if you are overwriting a locals.bin and you're on PC, you'll want to make your changes to patch0.000 since that archive contains updates to locals.bin.

Gibbed.DeusEx3.Pack.exe bigfile_English_unpack bigfile_English.000

I dont have "Gibbed.DeusEx3.Pack.exe" :(

edit: I was able to pack the file but the language files dont seem to be in bigfile_english or bigfile_spanish. In fact, if i rename bigfile_english file to bigfile_spanish and set the language to spanish, i still hear spanish voices. So the audio is definetly not in the 800mb files.
The videos of the game have multi language

en , spa , ita , rus , pol , ger , fra

so that's may cause the Spanish voice you here
