World War Z (Not a UE4 Game)

Post by Juso87 » Fri Apr 19, 2019 2:51 pm

World War Z just came out and I thought it was a UE4 Game, however seems to be using Saber Interactive own proprietary engine instead.

Paks can be open with any zip program.

Thanks Juso87. Just did a quick search and saw your post. I really was only after the .bik files for the in-game movies, and I found them very quickly after reading your post. cheers

Hi, does anyone know how to extract model from this game?

I've scoured other xentax thread that discussed extracting asset from Saber proprietary engine, but it looks there's no surefire way to extract model intact written yet here.
The model format is in .tpl, while the texture is .pct

Ninjaripper is able to get textures and model, but the model doesnt have intact UV, so its only good on extracting textures.

huh, so character model have perfect UV extract. I just tried extracting the same character model, and viewing it with noesis and it does have texture applied correctly

but whatever weapon model .rip extract I preview on noesis, its all screwed up. (I tried extracting PDW)

is there any specific settings you use on ninjaripper?

yes, for clothes head you have to set in ninja uv scale to 4, for other parts like hair , skin and other , leave the scale as default (1)

Anyone find a way to edit character values? Like say if I wanted to edit Weapon stats, item values, CPU player health or other things regarding their efficiency?
