I guess, the uvs are available, so some sort of estimate could be produced. First, you'll have to up the resolution of the mesh, maybe through subdivision, then use the uvs to displace the mesh, maybe simple by using the normals. But you have to ask yourself if it is worth it? It might be possible, ...
