a little note about the "quickbms -r -w" bat file:
you must NOT use a bat file, you MUST use a link to quickbms.exe containing that -r -w options and it will work perfectly
I will keep you updated about the profile\defaults\*.xml files encryption

Re: Help with Mystery of Mortlake Mansion .pack file
it's not zlib otherwise was a joke to do it :)
I give you an example, the code first reads the 5 bytes at the beginning of each compressed block (no it's not lzma)

Re: Help with Mystery of Mortlake Mansion .pack file
unknown compression.
if someone is interested I have attached the script for the format but it will not work without the compression, so it's only for future usage

Re: Painkiller Resurrection texture file PAK- unable to unpa
eh?
double-click on quickbms.exe and follow the steps.
if you receive an error like the one you said it means you used it from command-line in a bad way

Re: Race Driver GRiD 8Ball Pack
those files are all completely differents between themselves (one is even 4 bytes long, why you uploaded it?!).
x360_dlc_1.nfs is for sure encrypted (xex?)
spa.bin has a XDBF signature, maybe it's an archive but don't know

Re: Painkiller Resurrection texture file PAK- unable to unpa
no, you have not tried quickbms because I have tested it in this exact moment with the correct script reported on my website (necrovision.bms aka "NecroVision / Painkiller series") and it works perfectly.

Re: [PC] Crysis 2 BETA
the lack of speed is caused by the fact that it visualizes all the files and not only those to import, for example if you iconize quickbms during the reimport operation it will take 1/10 of the speed. because the "read the filename and check if the file exist in the folder" operation takes...

Re: RISK: Factions
you need to provide one of these archives or at least the first part of it (5 or 10 megabytes are enough)

Re: [PC] Crysis 2 BETA
shoot the idea, I'm all ears.
anyway remember that quickbms has the universality in mind (it's a "generic" tool, not a specific one) so it must work with the majority of archives as much as it can and any modification must stay in this rule

Re: Crysis 2 - RETAIL .pak files
that's not possible because quickbms doesn't modify the size of the original archive, so you have not followed my step-by-step where I said that you must provide the original archive (obviously make a backup copy) so that quickbms can reinject the modified files inside it

@to anyone who could criticize a new thread about the same subject of another:
the other thread is incredibly long and complex so a request of the script located in one place without 28 pages around it is not a bad idea :)

Re: Crysis 2 - RETAIL .pak files
@DemonAk the command-line you used doesn't work because you have specified the only the names of the file and so when the bat starts it will try to load the files with that name located in the current directory that is probably the user's one (the one of your windows account) and not the one from wh...
