Re: Test Drive 2002 .XDT

are you sure that the file you uploaded is complete? because it looks that the last 8 files are not available. the following is the quickbms script that will automatically skip the unexistent files: get DUMMY long get DUMMY long get FILES long get BASE_OFF long get DUMMY long goto 0x40 get LAME asiz...

Re: Shift 2 .BFF files (PS3)

I have updated the script for quickbms:
http://aluigi.org/papers/bms/nfsshift.bms

the only difference was type 1 which is zlib instead of xemdecompress

Re: Aes ctr mode

at a first look seems that the EVP mode doesn't support the CTR encryptions for some reasons. EVP is cool because with some lines of code is possible to implement almost any encryption available in openssl. so I guess that for the ctr ones I need to implement them one-by-one. this is probably also t...

Re: how to edit text files in games, especially Crysis2 or F

for the search there is also another better trick that usually works in some forums where the Search sux (on mine it has never worked correctly). go on google and insert the name of the game followed by site:xentax.com, example: crysis 2 site:xentax.com "crysis 2" site:xentax.com the secon...

Re: Republic Heroes .MDL file

this is the "Game Archive" forum so the chances of getting an help for a 3d format are very low if not just zero (for example my capabilities are the extraction of files from archives, I know nothing about 3d/graphic/audio). in short, your thread is off-topic here. while it's ok for "...

Re: Hacking Zip Passwords (C9)

I have forced the update of the game and I have noticed the problem you talk about like "missioPK" and the other files. it's just a problem of the zip files that contain some garbage. the reason why zip.bms doesn't handle them correctly it's because it uses an alternative (simpler) method ...

Re: Hacking Zip Passwords (C9)

the method has been the same described before, the only additional step was selecting the second number in the stack window (right-bottom) and selecting "Follow in dump", so that the password was visible in the dump window (left-bottom). about that error I have noticed that some files in o...

hello?
I have already created the script, I need a non-wav sample only to tune the extraction because each file acts also as a container

Re: Hacking Zip Passwords (C9)

the method worked perfectly also in this case but there were 2 problems: 1) the key doesn't contain only alphanumeric chars but also some others, that's why it wasn't quickly visible 2) these other chars are hard to copy&paste in the normal zip programs when they ask for password so you can't us...

Re: Aes ctr mode

it's a problem of Openssl that doesn't seem to support the CTR versions of the algorithms: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3783311/openssl-is-it-possible-to-use-aes-ctr-mode-encryption-using-the-evp-api that's why in quickbms.c and in openssl\evp.h there is that "#if 0" which is used fo...
