Re: Borrow Hill .cxt files
the script will be uploaded at the following locations: http://aluigi.org/papers/bms/shockwave.bms at the moment I have not uploaded it yet because there is a small bug in quickbms and so I prefer to wait the next version for releasing the script (I could release it also now because it's not a real ...

Re: Fear 2 Project Origin PS3 Version Arch01
unfortunately the archive uses files divided in chunks (the file is not stored directly but it's divided in multiple parts) so you can't use the reimport feature of quickbms with the files that are stored compressed in the archive

Re: Borrow Hill .cxt files
they are Adobe Shockwave Director files.
they can be opened with Adobe Director but I guess that for some of them it could refuse to do it because they could be protected.
Note that it doesn't mean it's a real protection/encryption, so the content is there.

Re: Compressing image files
softwares like JPG Cleaner allow to remove the unneeded data inside the jpeg files but it's only the matter of some bytes: http://www.rainbow-software.org/programs.html#JPG%20Cleaner for saving space you must avoid the progressive jpegs. for PNG files the difference is made by the deflate compressio...

Re: Metal Gear Solid 4 stage.dat files
the "segs" files aren't a problem because I have a script for them: http://aluigi.org/papers/bms/arcsys.bms the problem is the archive file because it doesn't have a visible file information table, maybe it's encrypted in some way don't know. so I have opted for a very stupid solution, the...

Re: What are .mtl/.cgf/.chr files?
only the extensions usually are not enough because games use a lot of fantasy extensions and even those used for other purposes.
maybe specify also the game.

the alternative to offzip is the following script for quickbms:
Code: Select all
idstring "\x05CSR"
comtype unzip_dynamic
set OFFSET long 0xc
get SIZE asize
math SIZE -= OFFSET
get NAME basename
get EXT extension
string NAME += "_unpacked."
string NAME += EXT

Re: [HELP] QuickBMS - Reinjection
the problem is simple: you MUST select the folder where you extracted the files and NOT the one where is located the file you want to import. I have explained and repeated this thing various times and that's why I say that the reimport feature is exactly identical to the extraction except that inste...

Re: [HELP] QuickBMS - Reinjection
crysis2.bms works perfectly in reinjection mode, indeed it's used for creating mods and cheats
