Re: Files extractors scripting

for the visualization with the Print command you could use the -x option of quickbms that shows the numbers in hex mode so "print %123%" will show 0x7b instead of 123 while for the unsigned thing no, there is no way. personally I use a lot -x when I debug a format with the usage of the Pri...

Re: help for ashes 2009

here with the demo I can extract all the over 7000 files so absolutely no problem here. I have updated the bms script to version 0.1.1 for that zlib problem so redownload it about the zlib problem: in short while I was creating the script I knew that I needed to extract the chunks with a size of 0 a...

Re: Repacker for Cities XL

as already said I guess it's the sha1 hash.
to know on which it's calculated you must do some tests for example first verifying the one you see in each file entry with the archived and the extracted file.
if it's the same (I guess it's the one of the extracted file) the job is done.

Re: Reversing File Compression. Methods?

I can tell you what I do personally. first I check if there is a zlib or deflate data in it using offzip -S and -z 15 (default) the first time and -z -15 the second one. then I try to see if I can find the exact point where starts the raw compressed data, maybe I see something like a signature and a...

Re: Files extractors scripting

oh well it's already passed one year from the first idea of QuickBMS (read the first posts of this thread) and within 2 days there will be the first "birthday" from the date of the public version ih ih ih :) so I have decided to retake this thread only to show some of the recent updates, i...

Re: help for ashes 2009

uhmmm from my point of view the script is correct, indeed it works perfectly on the demo and if your archive is under 4gb it must work with it too.

then does QuickBMS report an error or not?

Re: Does anyone has the source code of LZO compression?

lzo delphi on google gives many answers to your problem.
anyway in case of doubts you can ever compile the code (any code) as dll and then using it in your program

Re: Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom - Can't extract XWB files

unxwb doesn't support the reading of filenames from the optional xsb files because their format was too much chaotic for being able to write something "universal".

Re: Valkyrie Sky .vfs and .vls

I have not understood how to retrieve the full tree of the folders so the following script can only extract the files without the folders. I have added a number_ before the names because various files have the same names (and different folders obviously). if someone wants to improve it, he is welcom...

Re: Hacking Zip Passwords (C9)

because this method is not universal. for example in Metal Drift Demo the key is 37493752032567301837 and I used the classical method to find it: - signsrch -e MetalDriftDemo.exe 0042b6f8 2273 function where is handled the ZipCrypto password [32.le.12&] - launched the game with ollydbg and set b...

no luck, so use offzip on the npk archives that have compressed files in them (so not script.npk)
offzip -a file.npk c:\output_folder 0
