Re: .cab Files

why not just using 7zip:
http://www.7-zip.org

it works even with some installers and obviously all the various gz, zip, rar and other compressed archives

Re: Amplitude .ark decryption

the str files seem to contain raw audio at 32khz, 16bit stereo. it sounds a bit noisy so it's not to be excluded a light codec used on it (adpcm?) the rest seems almost like a midi and sound instruments, for sure an "original" solution. anyway there is for sure someone with more experience...

Re: Hacking Zip Passwords (C9)

@SLIFallen
don't confuse the finding of the password located in the memory of the program that opens the archive with cracking an unknown passowrd.
they are 2 completely different things

Re: "Phantasmat" PAC pack/unpacker

I have just downloaded the game now and noticed it had a very very basic format so I wrote a quick script for it:

Code: Select all

filexor 0xff
get FILES long
for i = 0 < FILES
    get NAMESZ short
    getdstring NAME NAMESZ
    get OFFSET long
    get SIZE long
    log NAME OFFSET SIZE
next i

Re: [PSP] Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron (*.psp *.asr

I have done a quick test and from my tests it looks everything correct.
probably you can't open them normally because they seem headerless, just the raw image data in them.
anyway the extraction is ok
