At least one of those is a specular map, it determines the color and amount of reflected light that hits the material. It's basically what make's Meracle's clothes look purple in the light (because on the texture they're midnight blue) and apparently does similar with Lymle... Unless you mean there ...

File Upload problem...

I realize there are other methods to host and post files.

However, for the last few days I have been getting Internal Server Errors whenever I attempt to upload a file to Xentax.

I've tested it with RAR and ZIP files, neither of which will upload, and other (game) formats are probably not supported.

I don't mean to sound dense or rude, but could you tell me why you would need to know how the textures are blitted for blinking? Would it be for modding the game itself? I can't think of how a scripted function like that would be useful outside of the parent engine... I can already tell you the wher...

I'm aware of the tools and once had them, but no longer. I've been through a few computers since then. You should look into getting in touch with Faustwolf, whom should be a Compendium member, at least he was last time I was there. He can be a bit tough to get in touch with though. Doesn't come here...

There's a number of tools for PSX sound file playback and conversion at a place called zophar's domain. There's even a winamp plugin for PSX midi music (called PSF, PS Sound Font as I recall...) oops my bad, it might be 2... but I don't think the blender script works on PS3 version models... or so I've read... I think 9 is in fact their textures rather than their models. Of course it does. I wrote a completely new shader just for that reason.

In any case, is there anything else in FF9 we still don't have a way to get at? Seems like all the edges are covered... Textures, battle scenes, battle models and enemies, field maps and models...

Are we missing anything?

If you're importing the AION models from Collada DAE into a program like 3DS Max or especially Maya, that's your problem. Autodesk has a total crap plugin for DAE import. The Open source one is likewise pretty crap in my experience. If you need to import DAE into one of those programs, use Autodesk ...

You wouldn't be able to re-import the models into the game anyway with the current level of progress. Bones aren't properly supported yet, and there is no ASF exporter yet.
