Not compressed in any way. Raw data, with specific fileheaders, the script files has a PAK header and contains normal
uncompressed ASCII.

Use a bruteforce ripper like Jaeder Naub, if the exe is compressed you can launch the
exe and dump the uncompressed content with WinHex, and load that data into Jaeder Naub and scan it then.

the only actual optimization in the scanner i have currently is that it will detect
slack data, for big ISO files that have large chunks of unused space.

that has proven to be a very good implementation, as it can skip up to 500mbs of slack space in 1 second :P

other than that, not yet!

Thats perfect! now you recode the prescanner in full assembly and totally optimized
for ultra speed so i can sit back and eat popcorn instead =D !!!
*preferably quadcore optimized aswell*

The current speed has drastically got down to about 10-20mbs when i added more complex formats, and because i had so many rewrites of the jaederstorm component. Im almost about to rethink the whole component once again to make it properly this time, i think i can very fast speed with actual GOOD cod...

This may be a longshot..... but i notice that the PFF file there is actually an JPEG file with a small extended header. so, what happens if you take the PFF header and attach it ontop of the resaved images?
