However, the palette data is a bit off track. (i know), I had
some troubles trying to understand how to interpret 16 bit palettes,
and i just didnt get hang of it totally.

Ive found out a way to detect these files properly now. i just have to get my lazy ass and make a ripper/converter for it. I will export it as TGA as i have no idea in what format this really is. but i now see a palette header ontop of the raw data, this will be converted to 32bit colors when export...

Try this image. The injector made no errors. it injects as it should do. if this image doesnt work , the game is just very piccy with the archive and does not support what i call "lethal injections", the way to inject files without actually rebuilding the archive. but hopefully...this does...
Okay. the obvious reason on why it fails is because the original file is 1.5kb big, and the file you are trying to inject is 5kb. however, i dont understand how that small picture can become 5kb, what encoder do you use? the characteristics of the image you are trying to inject would be much smaller...
It depends on from what game you ripped them from. for example ".PIC" can be lots of different pic types. (same with IMG), is FLC even used nowadays? I think flc is an old animation type format. but if you found that in a game its most probably a false-positive detection. examples? =o...pl...
