Weehaaa.

Now this exporter is available in the newest jaeder release :X

However, the palette data is a bit off track. (i know), I had
some troubles trying to understand how to interpret 16 bit palettes,
and i just didnt get hang of it totally.

but overall the exports look pretty readable :D

Hi!!

Lets revive this.

so obviously the character animations has no palette data.

BUT...the character portraits have!!! =DD

the palette data is however strange, and is stored as 16 bit instead
of 32/24. im currently working on a converter to TGA to save those
images.

So....

A Preliminary exporter is made for this format. remember to go into options, Enable "NIS-MK Texture" and press save. this should now export any kinds of these textures to TGA. http://jaedernaub.ath.cx/jn191t.zip There are still some other type of graphics here which i havent figured out ye...

Hi again! =D

Ive found out a way to detect these files properly now. i just have to get my lazy ass and make a ripper/converter for it. I will export it as TGA as i have no idea in what format this really is. but i now see a palette header ontop of the raw data, this will be converted to 32bit colors when export...

hey again!

Here are some raw rips i did from the files.

in the sci_ file i found some 8 bit 256x256 images.

here is an example. (when reading it raw)

the palette is ofcourse wrong as i dont know the colors of it.
but it seems like graphics from the game :X

Okay!

Hi again! =D ive got bad news and good news. lets start with the bad news. All of those images are false-positive ones. (the ripper detected something that looked like that format , but it wasnt, and it ripped it anyway just incase if it really was this format). However, do not use the "Various...

Hi there again.

Try this image. The injector made no errors. it injects as it should do. if this image doesnt work , the game is just very piccy with the archive and does not support what i call "lethal injections", the way to inject files without actually rebuilding the archive. but hopefully...this does...

Hey.

I have the archive now. i will run some tests
and see if its the injector that fails to inject at the correct offset.

Hi again!

Okay. the obvious reason on why it fails is because the original file is 1.5kb big, and the file you are trying to inject is 5kb. however, i dont understand how that small picture can become 5kb, what encoder do you use? the characteristics of the image you are trying to inject would be much smaller...

well..

It depends on from what game you ripped them from. for example ".PIC" can be lots of different pic types. (same with IMG), is FLC even used nowadays? I think flc is an old animation type format. but if you found that in a game its most probably a false-positive detection. examples? =o...pl...
