Re: Señor Casaroja's Noesis

Dazz: I don't see how I could have been any more clear. I don't want you to "hide and lie to me", I want you to actually knock it off . I've stated my intent with Noesis before, and the reasons I work on making model/image/archive/etc. formats accessible to people. A big reason for that is...

Re: Señor Casaroja's Noesis

Frankly, I'm hesitant to spend time on the batch exporter, because my intuition tells me it's a feature more likely to be used for lazy mass-theft and I feel the current state of it should be perfectly adequate for legitimate needs. On the other hand there's little sense in leaving a program feature...

Re: Señor Casaroja's Noesis

Yeah, ctypes is the easiest way. You have noesis.getMainPath() to get the Noesis path (not the working directory) which you can then truncate/append to the path of wherever you expect your DLL to be. Use setSkipRender on the associated material, or create a material with that property and assign it ...

Re: Señor Casaroja's Noesis

Typo? Referencing the wrong module? I just tested these:

Code: Select all

		rapi.immBegin(noesis.RPGEO_QUAD)
		rapi.immBegin(noesis.RPGEO_QUAD_ABC_BCD)
		rapi.immBegin(noesis.RPGEO_QUAD_ABC_ACD)
		rapi.immBegin(noesis.RPGEO_QUAD_ABC_DCA)
They all seem to be working fine.

Re: Resident Evil Operation Racoon City repacker

You're the one that got your little panties in a bundle when I said I didn't give a shit. And I don't. I don't care about RE:ORC in the slightest, I find it to be a terrible game, and have absolutely no interest in its formats or resources. I just made a SSG script because chrrox asked me to, and ma...

Re: Resident Evil Operation Racoon City repacker

That's more like it, bro! :bye: However, no one actually needs you to pester them for motivation, most especially chrrox and myself. Keep that in mind and I won't find the appeal of eating your face so overwhelming. 8D

Re: Checksums in archives

Usually games won't actively check the checksum against that of the data itself, because that poses extra load time overhead. So in those cases you're actually more likely to have success if you intentionally leave the original hash in place. That isn't true for all games though. And often games wil...

Re: reverse Bob Jenkins hash to string

Nope. Even if you could spare the time to try bruteforcing strings to match the hash, Jenkins hashing can result in plenty of false positives, so a match doesn't make it certain that you really have the right original name.

Re: Señor Casaroja's Noesis

Can I write the XML parser in C++ and then extend it with python plugins? Oh, and is there a way to load a default "background" in noesis? Like maybe if I put some textures or a model of some scenery somewhere and it'll be loaded automatically when I preview a model. So previews look more...

Re: Resident Evil Operation Racoon City repacker

Sorry, I'm just Dutch at heart. Be my guest dear friend  . Thanks, I appreciate it! Then, with your permission... you strike me as a semi-manipulative tool who pesters others and throws fusses to get his own way when the tides turn against him, in lieu of the ability to contribute anything he...

Re: Resident Evil Operation Racoon City repacker

1) QuickBMS to my knowledge doesn't support the LZX features necessary for these files to extract correctly. Otherwise, feel free to write the BMS script, you already have the specs in the Python script. I personally don't give a shit. Also, Noesis has batch extraction and has a commandline mode. Re...

Re: Señor Casaroja's Noesis

You could certainly make your own generic XML parser plugin with its own sub-plugins system, sure. You could also just make a script for the model format. When the model is loaded, parse its path out to determine where on that path you should look for the central xml, then load and parse down to fin...

I wanted to update my web site cause it had been forever, but I really can't talk about a single damn thing I've been doing outside of Noesis crap. So I talked about Noesis crap.

Re: Resident Evil Operation Racoon City

No, the necessary LZX fix was implemented back in Noesis 3.856. And again on that note, if you extracted your data with a pre-3.856 Noesis you need to update and re-extract it.
