Re: Kingdom Hearts 1 Models

How complicated can it be, I'm talking about simply the character's movements, not the attach system and so on.. Animation is stored in separate files from the models, right? I remember KH2 had mset files for animation, but I haven't checked them out yet. KH1 has mset too, just needs the format fig...

Re: [Request] Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep models

On the other hand, 3DS will probably be so similar to the NDS that we can just rip out the models. But we won't have KH3D until at least late this year, if not longer. And hopefully the general format would be similar to Wii's MDL0. Though, given it is Square would likely be another proprietary for...

Re: Kingdom Hearts Game Project Replica

Hm? All its animations? But animations are not supported yet as said since there are no mset plugins yet.

Thanks a lot! Was using the hex editor extract method which made the process rather tedious so again thanks. :D

[Wii] Sin & Punishment 2: Successor to the Sky (*.ARC)

The files are ARC, but are not u8 archives, the headers say NARC but do not work with NARC tools. Possibly proprietary variation?

Re: Kingdom Hearts Game Project Replica

As soon as a KH/2 mset plugin is made though, it'll be very straight forward from there. Also, MD2? Might I suggest MD3 instead? MD2 conversion is a bit trying and doesn't support multiple skins as KH uses. It would preserve the model better and MD3 is another documented format used in a number of e...

Re: [Request] Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep models

Glad to see new plugins being added, hope to see a mset plugin (or two if msets for KH2 are different) in the near future, then support can be considered pretty much complete (as far as import goes regarding KH1 and 2).

Re: [Request] Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep models

Yeah, sorry... I hope animation support for them gets added. Just a matter of when a plugin is made for it. Nah, that's not the case. Just load the PSK, then drag and drop the PSA onto the preview window and answer "no" when it asks you if you want to load the model instead of apply it to ...

Re: [Request] Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep models

It exports them by default or can be set to export in another. It can load PSA but seems PSK and PSA separately only (not mesh AND animation viewed as one).

An animation must exist first though, won't export a PSA if there is no animations.

Re: Models and animations from PS2 UT?

No problem, :) wish I could figure it out myself but I can mainly only give rough examinations with hex and if tools existed, would have decompressed them. Anyways, if extraction and decompression becomes possible, then all that would be left is UE Viewer. If UE Viewer doesn't support them, I'm cert...

Re: [Request] Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep models

I do wonder there as well, the export options suggest that Noesis supports PSK and PSA (personal favorite format to work with, high support in various programs), as well as MD5mesh and MD5anim formats. So animation support is likely there, plugin wise I am not sure but would love to see. Though this...

Re: Models and animations from PS2 UT?

Small update on this: It almost seems like a fairly common form of compression (zlib?). The files are obviously supposed to be bigger than being let on, suggesting a heavy, almost zip-like compression. I will make a topic regarding it though there have been topics in relation to it. Hopefully somebo...

Re: Zone 66 compression format

Hey! Glad to hear your doing well. XML for fun, eh? That sounds like an interesting way to go about it. Like turning it into a readable text code that can later be compiled back into the data file. In any case, I am looking forward to the results. Thanks for the update! :]

Re: Models and animations from PS2 UT?

Tested it and it doesn't seem to work. Header information is wrong as is structure. The LIN files in PS2 UT are in fact data containers. Maybe they are converted on top of that but they are definitely a kind of archive/container. Edit: In any case, I think it may be that few have looked at the LIN f...
