Ok, I've looked into some of the DATs and I've come to your conclusion, it is DEFFINETLY a Capcom format.

So far I've learned:

Sound Effects: WAV
Music: MP3 (I could only get them with Dragon Unpacker)

Graphics/Textures must use a custom format. Or I'm missing somthing...

Ok, found a place for the big files. This is NSP4D.GL, the largest archive file for Star Crusader: http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=993DDCFC4E326AFA I'm not too sure what it contains, but what it seems to have is some WAVs but other than that it seems to have the larges...

Second part of RAR here. I wonder if there is a faster way than having to break them up? O_o

Edit: I'm in no hurry at all, I'm just quite interested, and it seems to have it's own texture format.

Star Crusader (WIN95/DOS) Archive Formats (GL, PAK, VL, SL)

Ok, I know, another request from me, just somthing I thought I'd dig up, it's an oldie alright, it is a space shooter back from way then that just recently DosBox now supports. The closest thing to supporting it is Dragon Unpacker from back when I requested it, but that support got buggy somehow. In...

The detected format I got when scanning the file is WAVs, basically battle sound effects perhaps the boss uses. Perhaps it uses it's own graphic format, or perhaps this does not contain graphical data. I'm not sure, it's one or the other, I'd wait for an expert opinion though XD. But the WAVs are wh...

[PSX] Breath of Fire 3 and 4 image format within Capcom EMIs

Capcom as far as I can tell uses it's own image format other than the usual TIM that many PSX titles use. I provide examples from both titles just to be sure that it isn't changed from game to game. These should cantain sprites. http://www.geocities.com/shindarkfox/PL013.zip < Player sprites from Br...

I feel however that EMI is a form of archive. As it is also used for Background Music and map data. As seen in these below. Though I will post this in the graphics forum regardless.

I already made a request for the format you speak of. Capcom uses it's own format of archive and images.

viewtopic.php?t=1984

There I attached a zip with 2 of the EMIs

My request thread. This is one odd coincidence though XD I thought I was alone on this. O_o

Capcom .EMI file format (from Breath Of Fire 4)

I know this is possibly the most UNLIKELY request because it is PSX, but I was wondering on this format for some time. It is from Breath of Fire 4 and I am pretty sure it contains an image format that appears to not be a TIM. Not sure what, this format wasn't extensively researched, probably my look...

Any probability of support? Not quite sure at this point. Sounds like it may use it's own format?

If more is needed I will provide more. These little known about games confuse me with their odd graphic formats.

He's right, it's just like art and all that. I had problems with people stealing sprites from a friend of mine, but we were able to expose him and won the little conflict.

I don't see a point in fighting over a game. O_o... This can only lead to flaming, and possibly already has.

Edit: Though if it is just a track file, then what could you do with it?

The large one to me is most likely to contain all the textures, ingame voices, as well as the models. Edit: Basically everything else other than probably conversation text, that is contained in the SLUS file so oftenly seen in PSX/PS2 Edit2: Also, If there is anything else I could do to help do tell.
