Re: Señor Casaroja's Noesis
After some hexing I found out that Noesis doesn't read all the motion files. Two hex values after NMDM make all the difference to Noesis as some values are completely ignored, and skipped. Of course, messing with those values completely screws up the animation despite being loaded into Noesis. I gue...

Re: 3D model reversing compilation
That is true. I lost track of the revisions on FBX. I guess one can hope a standardized version will be agreed upon. I know there are other formats out there, though.

Re: Battle Arena Toshinden (PC/DOS) DATA.TSD
Hm... perhaps I underestimated the form of compression, it may be some oddball proprietary compression for all I know. But at least there's the file count so it adds to what is known. Thanks for the effort, at least! :) I'm mostly interested in the music since it seems to be a direct conversion of t...

Re: 3D model reversing compilation
Sorry to pop in here but I must take a stab argument against OBJ. Its a very basic format, which is both its charm and ultimately its greatest flaw. OBJ will not save rigging or skinning which would defeat the purpose of reversing most models as they would be unusable if you wanted to put them back ...

Battle Arena Toshinden (PC/DOS) DATA.TSD
Practically all game data is stored in DATA.TSD, including music in HMI format, models in ASC, textures in PCX and BMP, audio in RAW, and so forth. The only problem is that all data is compressed. Header starts with 4D 46 49 4c "MFIL" then followed by that is the file index, thus how I know the cont...

Re: I.M.Meen/Chill Manor (1995 PC/DOS) Sprites [Compressed]
Sorry to bump but there's new data. http://www.shikadi.net/moddingwiki/IMG_Format_(Meen) Here's some documentation explaining why IMG2BMP can't handle Chill Manor IMG files. Not just multiple sizes but another index. Wonder how one would calculate WxH? pseudocode: Height = totalImagebytes * 0.015625...

Re: Atlus's .PB (3D model format)
Oh aye, definetly looking better, more parts are rendered now but still a bit light. The switch to FBX was a great choice to preserve the structure of the model, will also make animation conversion easier to test out if that comes around. All-in-all, well done! It is very appreciated on yo...

Re: noesis Gamebryo nif importer
Is a good cause, as the conversion process at current for nif models is a bit awkward to say the least. My primary interest is getting SMT Imagine demon models.

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools
*facepalm* ...can't we try to handle this a bit more maturely, please? :| I get a bit tired of general programmer temperament of "thats it, one person got me a bit annoyed so I quit and you all suck". You all have seen this before I bet and that is all I'm getting from the latest post. That attitude...

True, I was going to say that as well. Ganjul, just ask the question(s) please. I'm not taking sides here, trying to just cool the atmosphere since was getting a bit antsy.

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools
Easy guys, calm down, he didn't really call your docs rubbish mariokart64n or was being thankless. He seems to just be confused on a few things is all, he's not really using a disrespectful tone here or it being his intention. But now it is going down a rocky slope so just ease up guys, alright? =/ ...

Re: (PC) Mega Man X8 WSX/WPG
pretty good! Some mess with a few triangles as howfie said but is a great deal of progress on the model format. Glad to see the UV mapping there as well. Wonder what is causing those messy triangles? But is greatly intact overall! Hopefully will be able to read the data. I still believe some of the ...

Noesis is the tool you want: http://oasis.xentax.com/index.php?content=downloads
Use it to extract and decode models and textures.
