it's been over 3years and nobody has yet to convert my scripts into proper code 
by the way, the diagswap in the script just grabs a chunk of data and replaces it 16bytes down the file

i see, but still doax2 might be different. it's based of its counter part, doa4. which is a fighting game where tecmo cut corners to allow them better frame rates. i know for a fact that in doa2u the models are not 1 piece. NG and DOA may be slightly different, and that's what I was trying to say be...

the skinning is weird, they combine static objects with skin objects. don't know about ng though.. probably the same.

files looks like 3d data to me, but I don't know alot about getting 3d models out. things are stored in polystrips for the 360.. and I never quite figured out how polystrips worked. anyway there are bone name references as well that indicate that this is a 3d file. the only doubt I have is the size ...
