no the file is all commented with text, and when I said it invoked compression, I meant just that. in the file some sections say <compressed package./> then a bunch of compressed data. your right it is redundant, but they do it alot like all the time. although DDS is considered compressed, its not. ...

I was looking at these for a bit, studying the patterns of data. but got discouraged, cause they start invoking compression inside the files on certain sectors of data.. so hell knows if you'll be able to decompress the data inside :bleh:

people dont know the differece between no z axis, and just reallly flat. scale the Y axis by 20 000 000 x and the mesh should unfold. this only works with 3dvia.

I'm having a hard time uploading the 5th video, youtube keeps failing on it. I've tried a dozen different codecs, and I ony get shoty quality. hopefully I'll get it figured out soon and upload the rest of the videos. the aim is to get more people involved with maxscript, besides chrrox and fact duck...

if you need the models ASAP, just use 3dvia on the pcsx2 emu

are you decompressing the right file?

theres 2 files, only ones compressed. that error might be from you trying to decompress the wrong file or a file that has already been decompressed.

that or you ran out of space, and you need to buy a new HD O_O

why would you want to translate them? I extracted that file, and it already contains different languages besides english it be a bit difficult, you would need to convert these to TGA with the xbox SDK. Edit them, then reconvert them back using the SDK. then hex them back into the file... had to modi...

PSSG is a common ps3 resource file, I'm surprised there isnt more support for the format. cause it's seen on a few games.... as for getting models, each section of data is described in english. its just a matter of someone actually doing it.. cause as far as figuring out where all the data is concer...

lol, that white line is a model. its a overlapped model used for adding things such as a HUD or grain
