I was re-writing my specs to clarify to him when I realized.. poo I do not have time for this :P maybe I was too harsh? ok, in b0ny's notes for the material at the end of the material section he has this dword indexoffset; // index buffer - offset dword indexsize; // index buffer - num dword pad35; the last dword is not padding, its another count. but since its an unknown constant it might aswell be pad anyway 00 00 ...

each object gives you the vertex buffer offset and the index buffer offset, along with counts. then at the end of every material section there are 3 counts.. you need the 1st and 2nd to start and end an element the 1st count is the index to start at(from your index buffer), and the 2nd is the amount...
