Re: Splinter Cell 2 .SS0 Music
I've had quite a bit of success with your tool. It's very stable! Great work! Thank you very much for all your hard work. On an older note that was brought up earlier in the topic: I think people would benefit from being able to encode to these files as well. I for one have been composing music and ...

Re: Splinter Cell 2 .SS0 Music
Wow thanks for the post on the new compiled version of your program. Will give it a test run asap! I've been having a lot of trouble trying to even play Double Agent as my Alienware laptop has an NEC dvd drive which really sucks. Can't read half of the discs I put in it.

Re: Splinter Cell 2 .SS0 Music
I haven't had the chance to go diving into the files. Most of the ones for Pandora Tomorrow (the ambient SS0 files) are accompanied by .UAX files that are much much smaller, perhaps a file table? My question is how are you finding the offset and sizes of each audio file within the package? Also, I s...

Re: Looking for wav2text converter .....
You can't take a audio file and have a program write the words to a text file or any other file. Each byte in the file represents a specific tone, which gets played through your speackers. So some ones voice could be any tone in the world. But im sure you could do it if there wasn't any background ...

Re: Looking for wav2text converter .....
The only one I can think of is in the retail side of the software industry: Dragon Naturally Speaking. I know Various games have implemented Speech to Text but it's usually implemented directly into the game's installation (pc's) or directly into the game engine (consoles).

DOD has extended contracts via contests in this area as well. Anyone remember the "robot race"? Numerous teams from various schools and private technology firms competed in an offroad race course with their fully (or not so fully ) functioning AI controlled cars. unmanned land-based vehicles, ALV's.

Unreal Engine 3 based games usually undergo modification to the file types and scheme (however Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 didn't seem to deviate too far from the scheme Epic originally devised). So the Unreal Engine game content file formats will vary from licensed game to licensed game. Thin...

That would be correct, keep in mind that modified versions of the engine licensed by developer studio that makes Splinter Cell series is able to modify the file structure as well, so cracking the unreal engine format itself wouldn't accomplish much for the Tom Clancy series games such as Splinter Ce...

Unreal
Unreal Engine Runtime is simply a demonstration of the engine. Unreal games like UT, U2, UT2004 come with their own editors which allow you to import and export data, and save your own .u .utx etc.. packages. The only way you can export textures would be to go into the Texture browser and save them ...

I bought Game extractor and I'm happy that it can read Unreal engine files but I can't get any of the useful files out. All I can see when I even specify which game format I'm opening (ut2004) say .utx texture packages ALL I see are .color and .ubits. I can't really do anything with these. I would l...

RE: XACT Audio tools
According to Microsoft, the XACT audio tool will not open generated sound or wavebanks, it can only open project files used to compile the banks (ie: .xap). However, they did mention a .h file that can be used to make your own code to parse the banks but they go on to say that you have to write the ...
