I know nothing about compressing/programming etc., but did you try all 9 compression levels with zlibc?

Did you notice, that rebuilded .bin file (nonmodified .txt) is bigger than original .bin?
Ex. AllTextEng.bin = 107 517B, new-AllTextEng.bin = 108 249B
And also game runs with new .bin, but weapon's damages are bad. From 1 to 3 points only. Weird

I have used WRS's BMS v2 to unpack sounds from .sds archives, but most of extracted FSBs are cutted from their end. But FSBs from m05_sounds_6.sds (czech version) are all good - uncutted. And what? You can't edit them directly. I have converted *.res to *.dds and now can see font characters, but can't convert it back to .res format. Maybe that's the reason why Czech translators made translation without diacritics
