Re: Source engine .mdl decompiler that doesn't require Steam?

The decompiler that I use says in the readme that steam is required to be installed, but it's not really necessary. The decompiler just looks for a couple of files associated with steam. If those files are in the same directory as the decompiler, they will work even without steam installed. I will s...

Re: Atlantica online

Cool, glad we're getting somewhere. Here are all the hex codes I used in the scripts and the file sizes I used them on. Some of the smaller ones are giving me trouble, I think it has something to do with wether the image is square or rectangular, and like I said the mip maps are messed up on some of...

Re: Atlantica online

I'm no good at programming, but I was able to convert most of these using a batchfile I wrote for use with Hex Editor XVI32. Basically, I just replaced the first part of each atlantica .dds file with the first bytes of a corresponding size/shape normal .dds file and I can open them all ok. For examp...

Re: new AION .pak file format.need help!

Does anyone have a link to the client download that works? edit: nevermind, got it. Nice stuff. Does anyone know how or if the .cgf files differ from those of Far Cry? I can see and convert them using 3d Object Converter, but I can't import them into max using the far cry Cryimporter. They must be p...

Re: Requiem

Per my post above, you can get the embedded textures out of the nif by installing blender, installing the blender nif import plugin, then clicking on the option to "Save Embedded texture as DDS" when importing the nif. It will save the texture in the same folder as your .nif as image00x.dds. The Req...

Re: Requiem

The models used in Requiem are .nifs, which can be viewed/editied with niftools (http://niftools.sourceforge.net/wiki/NifTools)

The textures are imbedded right in the .nif files, but can be removed with the Blender nif import plugin.

Good luck!

Lost Planet Extreme Condition Colonies Edtition .Mod Files

Hello, Has anyone had a look at the Lost Planet Extreme Condition Colonies Edtition .Mod Files? Attached are a couple for anyone to look at. As a related aside, Lost Planet .Tex files can be extracted and converted to .dds using the excellent Jader Naub tool, and of course both of these files can be...
