Can you explain this? If textures will be applied automatically, why anyone needs to use Ninjaripper ?akderebur wrote:Textures are only applied if they are in the same directory as the .mdl file. So you need to either find them yourself from the .tex files, or rip them with Ninjaripper for ease.

I can't seem to get the textures to load automatically in Blender or 3DS Max. I'm importing the island Drake SMD in blender. All DDS textures with the name Drake have been converted to TGA and are in the same folder as the SMD file. Whenever imported into Blender/3DS there is no texture associated ...

yes, really weird coordinate format ;) Since there's not much demand for this obscure engine, first version only supports dinosaurs. when loading SMD skeleton in blender, change setting to "new armature" and bones will not explode
