Re: Metal Gear Solid 5 Ground Zeroes/Phantom Pain g0s archiv

Hey guys, I'm putting out a test release of my mod manager. If anyone would be willing to help me test it that would be fantastic. Download Here You can use the included "makebite" to make mod files and SnakeBite to install them. I wanted to thank you to Topher for working on this. I DID ...

Re: Metal Gear Solid 5 Ground Zeroes/Phantom Pain g0s archiv

I was trying to update my real weapon names mod, but can't unpack the new 2c91cbff1005.fpk (maybe emoose has that file correctly named now LOL) which contains the language lng2 files with additional entries. Nothing I tried would work on it, but I've had weird "rights usage" problems with...

Re: Metal Gear Solid 5 Ground Zeroes/Phantom Pain g0s archiv

On a side note: I'm trying to rebuild FPK files by generating XML data for GzsTool to use but the game doesn't accept them sometimes. I read somewhere that the files are stored in alphabetical order - is this necessary for the game to read them? Likewise I've never had any luck with having the game...

Re: Metal Gear Solid 5 Ground Zeroes/Phantom Pain g0s archiv

Apparently Konami is checking how often files aren't verified for people and banning those people for modding. I don't know if this is true, but that's fucking insane if so. Is there a source on this? If it's true it would suck for modders (but honestly it's kind of expected because K did a TERRIBL...

Re: Metal Gear Solid 5 Ground Zeroes/Phantom Pain g0s archiv

PSA - the game updated on 10/6 00.dat ballooned up from 3.7 megs to 37 megs and now includes many updated LUA files from data1 so if you have a mod that uses lua files (like mine) extract 00.dat and double check the changes. 01.dat is now 24 megs of ftexs. Pretty sure this is all the missing graphic...

Re: Metal Gear Solid 5 Ground Zeroes/Phantom Pain g0s archiv

I've personally been hoping someone could make a "mod loader" by creating a front end to QAR and/or GzsTool that would simplify combining various mods without the end user having to fiddle with .ini and .inf files. The process of unpacking, combing lines from.inf/ini and repacking seems t...

Re: Metal Gear Solid 5 Ground Zeroes/Phantom Pain g0s archiv

Hey everyone, I am completely new here, literally just joined. I am a long time MGS fan and a software engineer. I haven't had time to read through this whole thread yet but I came here after seeing some modding tools on github. I have a strong CS and CompE background but have no experience with ga...

Re: Metal Gear Solid 5 Ground Zeroes/Phantom Pain g0s archiv

EDIT2: Just pushed a quick fix for some files not decrypting properly, grab it from https://github.com/emoose/GzsTool/releases/tag/v0.4.1a.LegacyConsoleAndFPKDecryption Hmmm... I extracted chunk0.dat with no problem, but any fpk or fpkd from it I try does not extract at all and just generates an em...

Re: Metal Gear Solid 5 Ground Zeroes/Phantom Pain g0s archiv

Alright, figured out how those LUAs are crypted, after spending hours trying to unpack GZ just so I could attach a debugger to it >.< A CityHash (using the old GZ algo) is made from the filename of the LUA file, including file extension. The NOT of this hash is used as the XOR key for the file, the...

Re: Metal Gear Solid 5 Ground Zeroes/Phantom Pain g0s archiv

What ReadMe ??? Maybe the one from the QAR Tool ??? OPTIONS -r Decrypt or encrypt all the resources inside QAR (LUA, FPK, JSON, etc.) Recommended for unpack. You may not encrypt them while repacking, the game will work with decrypted resources anyways. -u Don't use decryption/encrypton on QAR. You ...

Re: Metal Gear Solid 5 Ground Zeroes/Phantom Pain g0s archiv

You have to directly open the QAR tool through cmd.exe and open the chunk files. Using the QAR tool with -r through the command line causes it to crash for me when working with the chunk files. Data1 is fine. All of those files are easily decoded. the readme explains it, you need to make a txt fle,...

Re: Metal Gear Solid 5 Ground Zeroes/Phantom Pain g0s archiv

Hi all, I was trying to add custom music on game structure, but on LNG file appear this: <Entry Key="2748510345" Value="You Spin Me Round (Like a Record) " /> <Entry Key="3464135748" Value="Quiet Life" /> <Entry Key="1109952386" Value="She Blin...

Since I haven't seen any others yet I've started the "MGSV QAR Dictionary Project" on github :) Thank you for this mate. Honestly. Contributions like this are so incredibly helpful to ALL modders so kudos to you. PS - also it's nice to see some discussion besides model and texture changes...

Re: Metal Gear Solid 5 Ground Zeroes/Phantom Pain g0s archiv

I've been busy naming as many filenames as I can (so far named ~3000 extra files which aren't in any other dictionaries yet afaik) and I found two tape entries which seem to be unused: tp_m_10160_03 and tp_m_10260_02 tp_m_10160_03 seems to be the conversation from the beginning of the unfinished Mi...

Re: Metal Gear Solid 5 Ground Zeroes/Phantom Pain g0s archiv

Ah, now I understand why my prior backup didn't work. TPP actually uses the ground zeros save folder - game id 311340, it's own save folder - id 287700 - does have save files, but I guess they're some kind of backup. The graphics config - TPP_GRAPHICS_CONFIG is read from TPPs save folder, not GZ, b...
