Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools
Also i have another question about DLC tool. I've been tinkering about face/hair options. Indexes from 0-9 work fine, but after that the DLC tool only accepts inputs like 23, 34, 45 and so on. I don't quite get the logic behind this index and i'm just trying blindly, also using indexes above 100 wi...

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools
So it will soon be possible to load custom models into PC version?
Honestly, i'd just be glad with doing just a smooth-pass on all of the models to bump up the polycount a bit.

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools
Updated Texture Tool, save now works for --h/--p files. Tmc files with textures now opens correctly, as for save, there seems to be some kind of limit either on subsection (TTDM) size or on whole size of character's tmc file. Model with ~5Mb of textures in tmc works fine, with ~6Mb game crashes. Th...

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools
If you just want to edit textures then easiest way is probably just umod lol Umod is a poor choice, it's a pain to use, does not seem to work with fullscreen and it increases load times significantly, and it only goes longer with each texture you replace. That's why i asked whether a proper solutio...

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools
I apologize for my ignorance here, but i'm totally alien to DOA engine as DOA 5 on PC is my first DOA game.
Can someone kind of write up what needs to be done in order to extract, edit and then repack vanilla costume texture in a kind of systematized way?

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools
Could you possibly make a few screenshots of those changes? meaningless. seriously. Imagine just skin got brightness up and contrast down. or you can try it yourself. on any kokoro's TMC find 9A99993E 0000803E CDCC4C3E CDCC4C3E (reversed float) R G B depth If PC version has handling for SSS then po...

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools
I found SSS stuffs in mtrcol section and modified it. SSS color and depth could be changed but,.... the quality looked never like the PS4 version.. whatever I tried. I just was able to change the SSS color and depth(brightness) literally.. :( Could you possibly make a few screenshots of those chang...

So nobody ever figured out how to repack original content?Protocol X27 wrote:Plus DLC only works for costumes, people may want to edit sound, stages and others stuff as well.
I mean, fixing textures alone is a pain to do via uMod.

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools
So would it be possible to unpack original textures/models and rework them in higher quality and then put them back in game with current toolset?
Character textures are not that bad, but environments cry for a texture rework.

Licensing, works poorly on consoles and requires decent PC programming knowledge to be implemented.Darko wrote:Talking about soft engine, I don't know why didn't Team-Ninja just applied apex physx in DOA characters:

Well, that's splendid. At least it's a step forward, though it's still mostly useless if extracted files are still compressed.Mr.Mouse wrote:Bah. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V0BKvR1wJN4

Re: Lords Of The Fallen (*.PKG)
That's cool, i was curious about LOTF since a while. I also found Quick BMS script which does about the same as your tool but extracts .dat files from the PKG. I hope someone will try and chew through file formats, because at the bottom game seems to use pretty straightforward formats, plus anythin...
