Just start with repacking ui.pkg just copy the entire header to anew blank file in a hex editor (0 - 0x2D8) then paste the entire uncompressed files one after another in order at the end of the file (Only 9 files) Then you will have to update the file table by hand example battle_menu.dat E8 01 00 0...

he is explaining what i said not all files use a 3 byte xor key for tmc and a 4 byte xor key for tmcl.
you can test both of these by changing the first letter of the file name from B to 2 or from 2 to B.

It uses the first script.
change
findloc START string "\x00\x00"
math START - END

into

findloc START string "\x00\x00"
set START 0x3E

The key is 4 bytes long for that one so the first letter rule is not always true as the poster said on that forum.
Just change the first letter to B and it will extract fine.

it can not because the new files will be bigger then the old files.
You can use that as a template to make your own script for repacking.
just set the size and zip size to the same value.

Did you extract that file the file you posted is a .gz file.

I never said it reads plain uncompressed files i said you need to repack them as uncompressed pkg files which should be very simple for you to do.
