offzip still works on the files. I see what they did they moved the zip information to the end of the file. they left the name where it was but moved the zsize and size information at the end of the archive. if you want to see a directory listing you can use this bms. once i look at the ending heade...

its a big endian dds you need to perform an endian swap on the file,
so if you read the file in hex like
1 2 3 4
it would be
2 1 4 3

it only works on some meshes. (single meshes with no lod's)

you can just uplaod the meshes here and then you have no need to hex edit anything.

http://wkz.baiyou100.com/ Here is a 3d model importer that supports bones and weights. You will need to parent a few bones manually to make the skeleton complete.
