Re: Evil Within (*.pages)
Try the wolfenstein hack on the Evil within Virtualtexture file. It may just work. I'll check the file out and let you know if i fix anything. i already tired that. i've got no experience in coding or scripting so i just tried. tried the original file and another one. no difference. wrong exe file....

Re: Evil Within (*.pages)
that blender script works 50/50 for me. some meshes simply don't load at all. only the skeleton. and unfortunatley we don't have access to the texture files. If someone can provide me with an example of a b6mesh that doesn't work, i'll attempt to fix it. for some reason the quickbms script will wor...

Re: Evil Within (*.pages)
Try the blender script for Wolfenstein. if the format is the same should work. But chances are they tweaked it. Thank you very much for your hint volfin! The "import-rage-2011-10-31" script for Blender 2.49b works with the bmd6models. You saved my day! :-)) Only one question: Do you have ...

Re: Evil Within (*.pages)
Yep, it's using Id's Tech 5 engine, same as Wolfenstein/Rage. Which means it's going to be just as nearly impossible to decode textures.

PMed it to you.cra0 wrote:Could you zip me up a folder with that including its dependencies I tried getting libpng/libfgen still can't get it to compile
If it all works i can just create a wrapper dll for the extractor and use those functions.

Re: Alien Isolation (.PAK .BIN)
Hi cra0, thank you very much for your work, I immediately tried it and I've already found some problems, I tried to extract a level and I got this error: Warning this texture is unknown. That file is BC7, which he already said in the first post he can't convert yet. He's working on it. However, som...

Re: Alien Isolation (.PAK .BIN)
Well the game is made by Creative Assembly, the same people who put out all the Total War: games. They usually include an unpacker with the games for modding. But Since I don't have this game yet, I'm not sure if that unpacker works with Aliens. Would be nice if it did. Hopefully by the time I get t...

Re: Alien Isolation (.PAK .BIN)
According to Microsoft's DirectX GI documentation, BC5 is 2 channel 8 bit image. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/hh308955(v=vs.85).aspx Two-channel color Two color channels (8 bits:8 bits) - BC5 - Direct3D 10 So that should be simple to parse. BC7 is a bit more complicated. T...

The first is the free registration as a forum member for an indefinite period of time. I don't understand, I wasn't a forum member before or what is it? This is a good question... I think I've been a member for awhile, was registration disabled? I registered only recently, and it cost 20 dollars to...

Re: Wolfenstein .Pages files (idtech5 virtualtextures)
Impressive. I'll have to give this a go tomorrow.
I got the EXE with the matching MD5, and tried it. But for me the program fails with a BEX64 error. tragic.

Re: Wolfenstein .Pages files (idtech5 virtualtextures)
I extracted some virtual textures from the game with AMD CODEXL but the software not support resolutions over 8192. this is a normal texture from Infantry46 character (4096x4096) http://www.mediafire.com/view/oa2a7r3pp83vlo3/WolfNewOrder_x64-Context2-Texture50level0.png and this is {Diffuse?, maybe...
