Every model is triangulated at the end anyway, so I suppose it's for esthetics only.
It looks much better that triangulated ones for sure, but only usage of this feature would be only for modelers.

sequel (Spirit of Justice) have simular files systems, but can't load models and animations, 3ds Max was freezed. Does anybody know how enable file name logging?
I tried to use Procmon to collect file names, but it works only on Mad Max. JC3 doesn't log them at all, even when I'll create dropzone folder.
So if anyone know, please how did you get hashed filenames?

In this case, you can use AssetCC1.

Thing is, that those files are using hknp structures, they are compatibility patched structures, that means they cannot be loaded into Tools, becouse Tools don't support them. You cannot open 64bit Havok file in 32bit tools, and otherwise, those tools are platform and architecture specific, but only for packfiles, whinch is old format but its still used more than tagfiles (I actually seen tagfiles used only in SW2), whinch are architecture independent, not sure about plat...
