Did you get that from caoyang? I was trying to get him to give it to me but he wouldn't respond to me.

Re: Sen no Kiseki (PS3) .pkg files
Oh, excellent, that takes care of all of the compression.

Re: Sen no Kiseki (PS3) .pkg files
Let me know if you find anything, Ekey.
I am pretty sure my QuickBMS script is slightly wrong, starting the file extraction at the wrong place. I'm not sure exactly where the start of the first file is supposed to be.

Re: Sen no Kiseki (PS3) .dat file compression
The file format looks like it may be similar to Zero/Ao once decompressed, but I need to figure out the compression first.
As for missing characters, in that case, what's missing is "した。" if I recall correctly, although I'd have to check again when I get home.

Re: Sen no Kiseki (PS3) .pkg files
That error is just because I was lazy and it tries to seek past the end of the file. You still get all of the files out of it. As for the compression being LZ-related, is that affected by whether the header is on the files or not? I wonder if I need to run the compression finder on the files without...

Sen no Kiseki (PS3) .dat file compression
Earlier today, I posted a thread in the game archive discussion forum about trying to figure out the archive file format for this game. After a lot of tinkering and experimentation (I'm pretty new at this), I managed to figure it out. Unfortunately, the resulting files are definitely lightly compres...

Re: Sen no Kiseki (PS3) .pkg files
Well, I managed to figure out a bit about the format of the .pkg file itself and extract each file. Here's the crappy QuickBMS script I wrote for that. IDString "\x7f\x1c\x14\x52" get FILES long for i = 0 < FILES getdstring FILENAME 0x40 get UNCSIZE long get SIZE long get DUMMY long get DU...

Sen no Kiseki (PS3) .pkg files
The data in this game is first stored in a very large .psarc file, which I was able to extract using existing tools. Inside that are a lot of different files, with the data I'm personally interested in (the game's script) stored in .pkg files. Here are some images of one of the files. First one show...
