Re: [Req] Sleeping Dogs UVW maps
Don't worry about it, Chipicao figured it out. Here's the fixed UV section of the Blender script . Unfortunately vehicle interiors still have no UVs, but those can be obtained with Shako's program. I replaced the dummy uvs in Klienod01_LOD_2.obj at 0x60B20: http://www7.pic-upload.de/thumb/02.02.14/p...

Re: [Req] Sleeping Dogs UVW maps
Any luck?
I tried to modify the Blender script myself based on the given information, but I'm afraid don't have nearly enough experience to make heads or tails of this whole business.

Re: [Req] Sleeping Dogs UVW maps
Awesome find with second UV set! What about the rest of the stuff though? Everything else has only one set of UVs, but they must be in a different location or format or something if the existing tools can't pick them up. As soon those errant UVs are caught we can finally be done with this once and f...

Re: [Req] Sleeping Dogs UVW maps
The point was that even if someone else knew where's the other UV data and how it is structured, they couldn't just edit existing tools without their source code. And for the record, the blender script in the 1st post was not plain text. Well, true. I should've just uploaded the script by itself ri...

Re: [Req] Sleeping Dogs UVW maps
Ekey, Howfie and Marisuz all got bored and quit a long time ago.
I already spoke to Shakotay, he wasn't able to figure it out. But you're right, maybe he'll be willing to share his source code.
And the blender importer is just a script, here's a direct link for convenience.

[Req] Sleeping Dogs UVW maps
Hello, yes it's me again. I am aware that this game is pretty much done and dusted. Nearly everything is extractable except for animations. (but that's a seperate thread ) Now, while the people who were working on this game were incredibly diligent in their efforts, they left one thing incomplete: t...

Re: Havok Engine Animations
You could try asking shakotay, he figured out how to convert them into a useable format.
He provided the W2 animations, and even included an example skeleton.
I have a Sleeping Dogs skeleton here but you'll have to ask him for the .hkx file, he's the only one that can extract them.

Havok Engine Animations
The Havok engine is fairly popular, and there are official tools for it. However, they only work for native Havok .hkx files. The issue here is how to extract those out of games. Here are some sample files , and an accompanying skeleton . They use Havok Engine "hkaSplineCompressedAnimation"...

Re: Payday 2 model format
I hate to be a gravedigger, but just fyi there is a Blender .model import script here . It kind of works for meshes, although for some reason doesn't support UVs/materials even though it says it does. Those guys were even planning to make an export script, but they haven't touched it since October. ...

Re: [Request] Sleeping Dogs Model Files
Well, alright. "which mesh? And why was the adjustment required?" Oh, I was referring to the models I showed you earlier . Basically what I'm doing is making these models compatible with the Source Engine so they can be used with games and programs like Garry's Mod and Source Filmmaker. Ho...

Re: [Request] Sleeping Dogs Model Files
sounds like an advertising slogan - but maybe. No, it's just my personal opinion. They are pretty cool though. Yep, that's what you are. :D Sigh, I suppose you're right. Heck, back in July I was still using Ninja Ripper and remaking all the UVs from scratch. And look where we are now. But like I sa...

Re: [Request] Sleeping Dogs Model Files
Whew, after nearly six hours of messing about I finally managed to adjust the skeleton to fit the mesh and the ValveBiped. I can just use this one for now on, no more skeletons necessary. Say, now that hkx to smd is now possible, are animations still that big of a stretch? I don't want to be greedy,...

Re: [Request] Sleeping Dogs Model Files
Hm, there seem to be multiple weighting errors with the police models. However, that's an issue with the Blender script, and in any case I'm sure I can fix the weights manually. Anyway, right now the important ones are the thugs. There are four types of enemies in this game: Brawler, Grappler, Quick...

Re: [Request] Sleeping Dogs Model Files
Well, the female models have different arm positions than male models.
Anyhow, that'll work. Thanks!

Re: [Request] Sleeping Dogs Model Files
Beautiful! The vertex groups match the skeleton perfectly. You will have to find out this for yourself, I fear. Have a look at CharacterRigs.bin and tell me which chars skeletons you need. (Where "Wei head" is a complete char afair.) Ahh, okay. CharacterRigs contains all the skeletons, so...
