Dungeon Fighter - Script.pvf source / documentation
Introduction Script.pvf is a file which contains all of the client-side information for DFO. In this thread I'll cover every single little thing I know regarding the format and how to read it. This thread will contain source code and documentation regarding how to parse and unpack script.pvf. THIS ...

Re: Textures of Beta Diablo 3, ".tex" files converter needed
odd(I know the first two files work fine now...), I'll do a more indepth look when I get back from uni later. one thing though, is the crash an assertion or just the program freezing with an access violation? It throws two exceptions every time. First exception is a Buffer Overflow Exception, and t...

Re: Textures of Beta Diablo 3, ".tex" files converter needed
Also, even after that source code change, there are still some files causing the program to crash: arrow_poison.tex BossWindow_middle.tex Portal_Lightrays.tex shoulderPads_barbF_nightmare_base_02a_TintMask.tex shoulderPads_monkF_nightmare_base_01A_TintMask.tex twoHandedSword_norm_unique_08_spec.tex...

Re: Textures of Beta Diablo 3, ".tex" files converter needed
EDIT: Crash on DXT1 files is solved (was me using the wrong size var -.-). Thanks for the heads up. I made the change in the source code and it's working beautifully. they extract & view fine here, maybe your viewer is not up to scratch? (I'm using the MS DirectX Texture Viewer) The DDS viewing...

Re: Textures of Beta Diablo 3, ".tex" files converter needed
Excellent tool! You said you needed to know which files have mipmaps and which do not based upon the value at offset 44. Here are all of the files in which offset 44 does not have a 1: Value at offset 44 - name of tex file 0x6 - arcaneTorrent_irrad.tex 0x6 - bronze_irradiance.tex 0x6 - CharacterSele...

I'm not a troll. And he didn't break it fully because he didn't look at the rh files which are also encrypted. I told you guys there were two encryptions and he only got one of them. RUSTY HEARTS GAME PROTECTION: The game protection on this game is weak: - MPatcher.exe contains the keys to decrypt f...

...so you are not going to share the full details? I apologize if I've offended you or the purpose of this forum or have broken forum rules. That was not my intent. I figured that some help was better than no help at all so that's why I posted. My intent was not to brag, but to share some informati...

Re: Rusty hearts .pck
No online game has ever been broken by modifing the client files directly. The thing that breaks games are realtime memory modding programs like cheat engine. I really hope you change your mind on releasing the info. You've obviously never played Maplestory. The game was hacked to hell due to file ...

Re: Rusty hearts .pck
Sup guys. I was able to crack all of the files. It took me about 5 - 6 hours in total to crack. However, I don't feel it's a good idea to release how to crack them. After looking at the information, knowing how to change the information could be lethal for the game's health which is something I don'...

It does use List.wz. Anyone who says otherwise is a bumbling idiot.rako wrote:has anyone taken a look at the new tespia encryption? they completely changed the encryption of everything. it doesn't use list.wz but it is very similar to what they implemented on some of mob.wz
I've decrypted it myself.

Re: .wz archive
Okay, I've completely figured out KMST Unicode. You do not need to know Korean to decrypt it, but it's a PITA regardless.
I've been working on pushing certain functions out to a C DLL. It's going to take me a while if I can only do this in my spare time.

Re: .wz archive
I've been going over the extraction files, and I can only find few optimizations now. The important thing to remember in optimizing this script is that struct calls are computationally expensive and should be done in batch calls rather than unpacking one by one. The only other things I could find to...

Re: .wz archive
Yes, Rick, Python does support bitshifting, but I wasn't aware of this until just yesterday. As it is, Lambda's code is really weird. He adds in RG to R and then reduces to 255 and... there's no need for modulo calculations here either. It's all a little crazy. Just by implementing the code in my pr...
