Re: Extracting simple models
First of all many thanks for your reply! I was just reformatting/editing my post, not seeing that you answered already, sorry for that. I don't understand why finding faces is in the first step? well, because it's the simplest part. Finding the scrambled alphabet is easy, you can't deny that serious...

Re: Extracting simple models
p.s.: once again: I'm not trying to argue, guys, I'm just saying that ui of h2o could be much more better :] Any program can be improved, there's no doubt. >>> But you need to tell the details, please :) . <<< I sum up some ui deficits here: the 'noStr' and 'std' button should have been integrated ...

Re: Extracting simple models
The audience is getting smaller; many people seem to use Ninja Ripper, for example.Bigchillghost wrote:But I havn't seen anyone pose questions under these topics, which is really disappointing.
But I'm pretty sure that interested beginners will profit from your tutorial.

Re: Extracting simple models
yes, I see. But in the end (at least for me) it's rather unimportant which tool to use, hex2obj, MR, or Model Inspector from Herbert 3000: http://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=14648 The point of my post you were replying to was "I was always thinking about the best way to give begin...

Re: Extracting simple models
its ui is confussing shit out off me. I always thought that it can be simplier but then 'Model researcher' came up. I don't claim that "MR" is a super-tool but it is a lot more organized in terms of interface, hex2obj was the first tool of it's kind, imho, and it's simple, yes. I always c...

Re: Dragon Quest XI 3DS .BHC Models
, thanks for your efforts but I guess this is out of my reach and there are too many files for one model well, it all depends on you. :) These models are not that spectacular, imho, so it's a little bit unlikely that someone will make a script for them. I was always thinking about the best way to g...

[...]and guessed that the head faces location from the other file (cha01000a_h.bch) would be starting at 476e0 ? that's correct. :) (whatever you're meaning with "head faces"?) But unfortunatelly that´s where my brain started to melt with the tutorial. Please let me know if you uncover UV...

guess, you can get a skeleton from the .json.jmodel files but I don't see a decent point cloud at a first glance...

Re: Zero Escape Virtue's Last Reward Models (.bsm/.bm)
Thanks! but Im really having a hard time try to learn hex2obj >< this format and especially this model is quite simple. So it would be the best chance to get a clue now. :) All you need to find is the start address of face index block, and the face index count (start of vertices is 0x14, maybe for ...

Re: GoW Models (PS4)
nope, it's not a progress, it's just a little bit of what daemon1 and akderebur found out already Kind of progress is when users give it a try themselves, imho. You could use the latest version of hex2obj http://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=10894&p=142434&hilit=+actual#p142434 t...
