Re: Can't believe nobody tried Jackass (PS2) before ^^
This is a modified version of hex2obj for Jackass (PS2) .rws files (you need the H2O files created by the above Makeobj, too). It's not intended to be used with other formats! Hex2obj-rwx.zip (You shouldn't miss to read setup_FI-txt.txt !) The exe doesn't work "standalone", it requires oth...

Re: Project3 extracting models from binary files
Here's a tool for conversion to obj, roughly tested only:

Re: Project3 extracting models from binary files
here's your cube (file 2):
. File 1: there's floats (6x4 floats) (bounding box I think, not tested) and float uvs, funny. Strange combination with short vertices.
(Correct me if I'm wrong: are there 321 identical cubes in file 1?
)
(Sword is from file 2.)

(and I'm still missing a small part of his left hand ^^) Simply copy/mirror/rotate his right hand. :D one being labled "intro". I assume you used this file for Ryan, right? No, it's ryan_costume01.rws . So high and low res models for cutscenes and ingame i guess? Sounds logic. . Johnny_in...

Re: NFS No Limits
I only have that wheel file mrstyx extracted. (And before the wheel isn't correctly converted to obj it doesn't make sense to me to care for cars.)

Re: MGS 1 Models/Textures and Levels
Thanks! Well, seems it reads a filecount at offset 0x00000008, xored with xorMask2 = 0x11C22050. Gives a funny high number! :D First 8 (or 16) bytes of your .dat file s don't seem to have the same structure - so not surprising that the tool can't handle them. Seems you need any .dat file that can be...

Re: MGS 1 Models/Textures and Levels
one or two .dat samples?
(In case it's a matter of a changed "file encyption key" you're lost, I fear.)

Re: NFS No Limits
Can anybody help on finding the positions float ? I'm trying the one on 0x55BC (for one mesh obviously) but It don't seem to be the right one. (Sorry for the late reply.) I don't get it. It's no floats, your starting address is wrong but you get the correct mesh? (Assumed vertex count is 5846? (max...

Re: Can't believe nobody tried Jackass (PS2) before ^^
Maybe pay more attention to what I post? :D " Here you go (use 'Strip' and 'Fake' for auto generating FIs )" -> use Fake face indices (toggle uppermost right button) and "Strip" btw: in your schreenshot, why is the uv address, 0x3a79d missing? Full params of johnny_costume01_lod....

Re: Can't believe nobody tried Jackass (PS2) before ^^
Doesn't RWAnalyze help with finding faces and offsets? It looks so promising to me :-/ Can't read the contents of the righthanded window of the tool and maybe I'm to dumb, but no, I can't find data concerning the meshes which could ease the task: Geometry List (76287 bytes @ 0x2C448) - [0x1A] Struc...
