Re: [Request] Guild Wars 2 DAT
Actually there was a heavy hint on IDA and idc scripts in my repo, if you dig it you'll find lot's of stuff, the other part though, I can't say more as I'm not the one who found it and it's meant to be kept private for now.

Re: [Request] Guild Wars 2 DAT
Everything has been figured out, at least everything has been unpacked in structure format or XML, it just hasn't been released yet publicly. The only things left are unrelevant stuff like fonts/etc... @developers : I will soon do a last update on https://github.com/ahom/gw2DatTools, to clean up som...

Re: [Request] Guild Wars 2 DAT
Multiple things here: - strs files: I can confirm that in GW2 they still use some kind of RC4 encryption on the encoded strings. What you call lchar is actually an offset used when outputting the string, (if value < 32 then tableLookup else offset+value-32) so by construction it is the lowest char. ...

Re: [Request] Guild Wars 2 DAT
Hey, Soooo.. I thought that having a wiki to share the different file structures / encryptions / etc... would be a good idea, because it seems that a lot of people are just working on their own and everybody could benefit from shared experience. (The goal would be to centralize all infos on the DAT ...

Re: [Request] Guild Wars 2 DAT
Yeah, I edited out the link on gamerevision when I got fed up to only receive PMs from people wanting a full extractor program.
Anyway, I would have given it to you if you had asked me Nimba, you've shared plenty enough ;D
Cheers.

Re: [Request] Guild Wars 2 DAT
Hey, In fact, it seems that they are moving things around between betas, before this new beta I spotted the file you are talking about, the loclpref one, actually there are 4 files that seem special (apart from the ones that are 4097 / 4098 /etc..): - Ids were: 2 / 3 / 12 / 13 There was: - the loclp...

Re: [Request] Guild Wars 2 DAT
Does anyone know if the client is always making a query to retrieve it at boot ? If the build matches the latest query, it just launches the game and doesn't look at either manifest. Yep, just saw that this morning after the update was finished. I'll have to rescan my DAT then ;D I'm looking at the...

Re: [Request] Guild Wars 2 DAT
Hey, As the patcher does not work for now, I had a question that I can't verify until I have the bwe client. I did some digging some time ago to understand how to navigate inside the various files in the DAT, I found that a good entry point was the "RootManifest" that you get from the lat...
