Did you try unpack script for Castlevania LoS?
Format same, but maybe with some changes, if script not work, do screenshot of begin of the file in Hex editor.

What season you try to translate? For first season this method certainly works. If you have freeboot you don't need create new ttarch, just put landb files in one folder with ttarch.

It's not necessary rebuild ttarch, just put your changed files (landb, font, etc.) in one folder with .ttarch files, and game will use them.

If you don't need files with landb_MOD extension, just delete third string of the script "string fname + "_MOD""
