Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools
@b0ny, thanks!! :D I tried changing that flag and it didn't seem to have an impact by itself. The template worked no issue with the newer app at least. The container I'm using show multiple instances of the same .dds so I tried changing all of them to transparent. The texture I injected had a comple...

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools
Nice, Well I have a version of that app, I don't know anything about though. I ran the template against a couple of tmc's and got an error: "*ERROR Line 95: Unsupported custom attribute 'name'. " It appears to be version 3.1. Any chance that the version is off, or is it possibly something ...

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools
Thanks for the update to this. I might be doing something incorrect because in Noesis I'm getting a strange tiling with my initial test. you can't judge by noesis script coz it doesn't handle untilled textures, have you tried it actually in the game? Thanks, no I have not yet. I will try that next,...

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools
[Protocol X27] dxt5 is storing the alpha for each color channel thus it's twice as bigger as dxt1, thus to replace a dxt1 texture with a dxt5 texture you have to divide one of it's sides by two. but with swizzled textures it's even worse, the swizzled data is not proportional to the unswizzled one,...

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools
2)you have to look for description for flexible vertex format for directx10. these describe what kind of information(data layers) is stored in a vertex and in what kind of format(float, int, ...). you can find them in geodecl chunks for each object. you may try to identify the structure by analyzin...

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools
It's the pantsu files  of course they're important :D. Fixing the physics will fix the clothes movements so it's all good. I personally understand very little about the ACI block, it would be a big help if you do find a way to convert it. We're gradually making some progress on the other two i...

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools
Edit: Well there goes my original post XD
b0ny, you're like a DOA assassin and a psychic. I had no idea you were working on the compression, and just beat me to by a few hours of contemplating starting to work on one myself. I'll post results elsewhere.

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools
Someone on coregrafx posted about the possibility of compressing the containers zlib using the key and re-injecting the data.
I'm willing to test that, but I don't know how to do the compression. What app do I need to do to accomplish the zlib compression?

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools
Thanks for the latest update! I'll try to remember to get that Gen Fu file this weekend. Here's a theory question, is it possible to repack a modified tmc / tmcl using the reverse of the unpacking method to overwrite the original file? Ever since the patches & title update rolled out the usual m...

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools
b0ny, you Rock!!! :D I tried it on, Helena's Pop textures and Rachel's sports models and both worked! :D I'll keep ya posted if I run across others, that's already a huge plus. I did try the unit on Rachel's sports, but the app just closed without any message. I wasn't sure if it was supposed to do ...

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools
how did you get those keys?? for failed tmc/tmcl tmc/tmcl from memory dump 1. extract tmc/tmcl from memory dump 2. wash the tmc 3. zlib-compress the tmc/tmcl tmc/tmcl from dlc 1. extract tmc/tmcl from dlc xor them -> xor "Except as ..." string Thanks for explaining that. I'm still a noob ...

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools
I would have to look at the model files. I know some 360 models were like ps3 models and had model data in the tmc instead of tmcl. Gotcha, that makes sense. Do you need files, or do you have some to work from? That is if you get the time to look into it. b0ny, did you still need info on the moddin...

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools
@chrrox, do you know what it would take to get the above mentioned issue (face meshes) working? Since it's not a data issue (ie they work in the game) there's something different that impairs both the Noesis & 3ds scripts. 3dsmax scripts will partially draw the mesh, but then choke somewhere alo...
