Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools

LSC, what are the conditions of the normal injection? I had some blocky stuff when I did a transparency mod, I had trouble resolving that, but it wasn't critical enough. ros, nice find. Does the HieLay stuff match the NodeLay & BnOfstMtx in relation to the order of objects? That could be really ...

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools

Hopefully some mod traffic headed this way since the current home is choking the life out of interwebs. Found some additional info on the TMC Block. (Old) The Diffuse TTX index for each mesh group seems to be at 8B bytes from the start of each group. (New) Additional TTX indices seem to be at 70 byt...

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools

Thanks b0ny, I'll take a look for that. LSC, Once ya get the process down, maybe a couple of hours depending on the complexity of the model. Hair, dresses (stuff w/ lots of bones), etc can be time consuming. The conversion process isn't very automated, so it involveds aligning some UV's, renaming &a...

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools

Could anyone catch me up what the utilities / process is for extracting individual containers from the native .afs containers?

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools

The rotation discussion may still be available on the older / lengthy modding post on coregrafx. If not, I'll try to summarize. P posted several matrix images which I don't know how to apply to necessary values. http://i1064.photobucket.com/albums/u375/ProtocolX27/Mods/MatrixMultiplication_zpsfedfba...

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools

Dang, b0ny, that Noesis plugin keeps improving. :) Regarding the rotation stuff. I'm guessing that the rotation matrix is always the last entry in the Bone Offset Matrix. I just performed a costume swap for a mismatched set of characters. There is a 1:1 ration of bones in the NodeLay to the entries ...

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools

Holy @#)$*(@#)($*

How do I like spam on the thank you button more than once!?!?!! That even surpasses the alpha feature as far as usefulness! The ability to extract those other models is huge for XNALara stuff.

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools

[Protocol X27] noesis is computing the transformation matrices on a high level of abstraction. i'm interested in low level(manual) computing for transformation matrices(and also weights) too. i'll need that soon, and if i won't find myself how to do this i think i'll open a thread asking people sma...

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools

Awesome stuff, b0ny. No wonder you've been quiet lately, :) The new archivarius seems to work fine for the basics. I'll start using that version and report back if I see anything. On the note of archivarius, has anyone run across the MPM files for Private Paradise animations. I'm curious if those wo...

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools

Awesome, miku, thanks! :) @Darko, there was duplicates of the santa & school in the patch stuff? That's a bid odd. The patch should have the core stuff like face, hair, default costumes... I thought. I found five costumes in the content.bin/.lnk/.blp. School, Nurse, Cheerleader, Santa & Gym....

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools

Thanks, miku, nice update to the .dat file.

Any chance here COS3 & 4 are in there too? I believe she should have alternate color / accessory versions of the first two.

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools

Thanks for the tips, b0ny. I was initially going to skip the current costume since others don't have the same issue, but between your suggestions on the values and some comparison against a hair file, I figured it out. It required changing two values. The value directly below the UBYTE Transparency ...

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools

Could be a result of a different property, or possibly because they have dual meshes (one with flipped faces) that may counteract this effect. :? Maybe...... But the thing is, why bother to fixing this issue ? if I was a dev I will let this issue there, and as a fan, I'm happy to know that this &qu...

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools

Here's a thought, even though it's been common to Team Ninja games. Is it an unavoidable issue? Example: Hair textures use DXT5 with alpha set to true, but they do not suffer this same effect. Could be a result of a different property, or possibly because they have dual meshes (one with flipped face...

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools

[about doa5 transparency] i see from these pictures with hex patching, that this guy who made them has found the right values by experimenting. i can't help you without access to the game. you should try to figure it out yourself: 1 find a body with less clothes(like bikini). 2 change all textures ...
